I still can’t work out if it’s a 2-cross or 3-cross lacing, but it’s something to check. The angles of some of those spokes do look like they are bending quite a bit at the nipple.

I might be wrong about it
I might be wrong about it being 2-cross, but the spoke angles do look quite high, this one in particular:

Looking at the photos on the Trek website, the angle that some of the spokes are leaving the nipple is quite extreme. I think Trek have made a mistake using a 2-cross pattern on a 32-hole hub – especially an internal geared hub that has wide flanges. (edit: if it is a 2-cross pattern, in some photos it looks like it might be 3-cross!).
On lower spoke count wheels with a smaller flange hub, the spoke angle is less. See below a rough example, the green triangle is the same size, you can see how much greater the spoke angle is on the 32 spoke wheel of the District 4 compared to a 24 spoke Domane.
I’d ask them to rebuild the wheels (or at least the rear) in a 3-cross pattern.

I have a £22 mat, like this:
https://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk/body-power-48-x-36-floor-protector-mat.htmlIt’s different to a yoga type mat as it’s very heavy and doesn’t move around. Reduces sound and vibration a bit as well as protecting the floor.
They have a range of sizes…

The highway code often misses
The highway code often misses some key bits out when translating from the legislation. As brooksby says, it refers to the road:

Or is it an inner city vs. rural living divide?
Bit weird they couldn’t get insured at all. Could it be related to their occupation? I don’t think the article mentions it.
In any case, their claim that they needed a 4×4 because of the terrible rural roads full of potholes, is slightly tempered by their choice to fit huge alloys shod with low profile tyres!

In my experience, the drivers of these vehicles seem to have bought them to intimidate other road users, by tailgating and generally bullying others out of their way. Shame it’s also being funded by the tax payer.

Yes, it’s quite interesting. I saw a lot of people commenting that the cyclist was travelling way too fast and that there was a blue car that came past much more slowly. But in actual fact, it appears the slow blue car was going a smidge quicker than the cyclist.

Well, you could fill in this form: https://contact.dvla.gov.uk/report-untaxed-vehicle
It can’t be too hard for the DVLA to get in touch with the driver, given their mobile number is on it!

With a bit of effort from the Police to prosecute these drivers and the pubilcity that acts as a deterrent, there is a chance the roads could become safer for vulnerable users.

I once got a parking ticket which I thought was very unfair. I parked for 15 mins in a marked bay, with a sign saying you could park for an hour between 11am and 6am (it was the afternoon). I came back to the car to find a traffic warden writing me a ticket. He said – look, you are parked on double yellow lines! (the double yellow lines did run down the length of the road, but this was clearly a mistake). But nope, he wouldn’t listen and issued me a ticket. I wanted to contest it in court, but my other half was not keen (not got time for that, just pay the £30!).
Anyway, somebody must have taken the council on and won, as a few months later I got refunded the fine I’d ‘received in error’!
They’ve now removed the double yellows at the parking bays.

Yes, even though I had protected no-claims and it was deemed a no-fault claim, my premium did go up. However, I shopped around and got a cheaper quote than what I was paying previously, from another insurance company (that’s with declaring the claim saga).
