Car crashes into building - please post your Local news stories

(Possibly a whoosh) Wasn't that the 90s?

I heard from a friend of a friend who used to work at Rover that when Rover redesigned the BMW Z rear axle for the 75 it handled so well that BMW insisted it was 'softened' to avoid showing up the M5. Sounds unlikely but I always hoped it was true.

Who pays to fix or redo that concrete ? as it doesnt read like the car driver is automatically coughing up for it, despite being clearly an idiot and at fault.

It's just like here where a charity shop took nearly a year to reopen after a range rover driver tried to make it a drive thru, doesnt read like the car drivers insurance pays out for it necessarily

This is the same island / house location as the one the other week with the car pictured on it's roof. The main road straight across is 40mph because houses are only one side of them and rich people don't want to drive slow, yet the road designs are really for 30mph use. 

He's cocked that one up.

I think he is! The Council/ Construction company are not going to be dim enough to miss this easy winner. Big insurance claim = big rise in premiums.

Whatever her real motivations are, and there seems to be a dispute on the facts of which is the steepest hill out the 3 routes to the university, at least Cllr Wright identifies the principal source of the danger: 

"Widcombe Hill is a dangerous hill for e-scooter users because of mixing at the low speed of 12.5mph with larger, faster-moving motorised vehicles, in combination with steepness, parked cars..."  

If only they could accelerate out of harm!

In our little world  it might be "the Part of the Sheldon Brown site that talks about English, French and Italian bottom brackets has been hacked - cyclists don't know which way to turn"

I'm guessing in that instance, it was taking so long, they stumped up the money before it has been recovered.
