Oh the irony. A rather sturdy looking electric bike with its electrical gubbins stuffed into the frame tubes like a fat girls legs in a pair of stockings. I think the marketing person had there tongue or possibly a danish pastry pressed firmly in their cheek when they named it. Possibly.

As far as I understand it, specific evidence against a rider (or of actual doping in general) isn't required for the judge's approval - they just have to convince them that, on balance, the need for them to do this to maintain an effective anti-doping program outweighs the riders' rights to privacy. The "serious suspicion" stuff comes from a comment to the UCI's internal rules (and is contradicted by another set of rules) and isn't really relevant to the judicial process.

@Simon Withers I've not managed to buckle a wheel on tour although I have had to adjust spokes occasionally to keep my wheels true so I carry spare spokes and a spoke key anyway. My concern is getting to my destination and then having to straighten the disc because it got bent in transit. Would I need to carry heavy tools to do this?

"the force has continued to provide little information about their testing procedures and the reasons behind them" Either there is proper guidance/training in place or there isn't. So if there is then the officers in question ignored it or, as seen in the clip, the guidance and test is flawed. The police force should be sued for this (alongside other similar cases) and if it is the first option (proper guidance in place) then the officers in question should face serious disciplinary procedures.

Surely if the police/prosecutors have sufficient evidence to convince a judge to allow extraordinary testing outwith the standard window they should be obliged to present said evidence to the riders when they carry out the testing?

There’s a spate of mainland europe market only bikes with hyper chunky frame tubes. Whilst Grace ain’t the cutest in town she’s a darn sight more svelte than her electifying sisters surely?
