Look’s already comprehensive range of pedals spans all genres of cycling, but until now, it hasn’t had a dedicated selection of gravel pedals. Today, the brand has fixed that by introducing two all-new options, while realigning its X-Track clipless pedal to fit within its new gravel line up. Here are all of the details.

Look says that in the past, the industry has taken its cross-country mountain bike pedals and adapted them for use on gravel bikes. While that has certainly worked, with loads of clipless pedals working great across each discipline, Look has chosen to move away from that way of thinking. Instead, the brand’s new gravel pedal lineup has been crafted to suit the particular geometries of modern gravel bikes, with three (kind of…) new options. But importantly, the whole range is compatible with SPD cleats.
The X-One-G is built for gravel racing
An all-new pedal for Look is the X-One-G. With its space-age name comes a futuristic shape, but it’s taken inspiration from brands like Wolf Tooth Components, as it’s a single-sided SPD pedal. The choice to add just one binding per pedal sheds 50 grams, says Look, compared to dual-sided options.

There are two versions of the X-One-G available. The X-One-GTI is the range topper that rocks a titanium axle and a 650mm-squared contact patch, which apparently grants the pedal a ‘class-leading’ power-to-weight ratio. It’s claimed that it weighs 120g.
Despite its name, the X-One-G Max isn’t a larger pedal. Rather, it’s built for durability with an aluminium body and chromoly axle. Look says that this one weighs 145g.
The X-Track is now officially a gravel pedal
Although Look has moved away from a one-size-fits-all standard, it has adapted its cross-country mountain bike pedal for gravel…

When I say adapted, I mean merely repositioned. A favourite amongst cross-country racers, the X-Track utilises a dual-sided mechanism and is built for versatility. The brand then says that it’s the pedal for those transitioning from road to off-road, thanks to its ‘instinctive engagement’.
The X-Venture ‘reclaims the adventure segment’
Last but not least is the Venture-X, and they’re built to please those with a thirst for adventure. Designed for bikepacking, these pair an SPD mechanism on one side with a grippy flat pedal on the other, so they should work swimmingly with whatever shoes you choose to use.

Available in two models, the X-Venture+ is the premium pedal with a 77mm wide aluminium body and moulded pins with a claimed weight of 190g. The standard X-Venture is a composite option, but it measures 84mm in width and promises to weigh 200g.
Prices for Look’s new gravel pedal lineup start at £75, and go up to £275.
