That looks like a series 2
That looks like a series 2 disco, they stopped making them in 2003! I suspect the model year is 2002, not 2022 as quoted in the news article!
This is exactly the sort of vehicle that should not be used for short, single occupancy, journeys in a built up area. The entitlement of these people who think they are somehow a special case.

I guess it’s harder to fall
I guess it’s harder to fall off a golf cart on your way back home from the bar?!
What a shame they couldn’t keep the four wheeled menace out of what otherwise sounds like a lovely place to live.

ktache wrote:woman who I share my morning rail journey with, changed from escooter to acoustic bicycleWell, you wouldn’t want an e-bike in Reading in the summer, I was there yesterday and saw some very cold looking chaps whizzing up the road. At least with an acoustic bike you will be warm and won’t need to wear a balaclava…

I have to say I was a bit
I have to say I was a bit intrigued by this overturning car transporter, especially as one of my regular routes is plagued by them (well, not the overturning bit, despite the presence of me, lycra clad, on a bicycle).
I think this is the exact location where our hero lorry driver was ambushed by the sudden appearance of cyclists (judging by the shape of the tree in the video).

From the A591, the turn into Manor Brow looks like a major junction (for the Lakes!), with a slip road. Yet there’s only a tiny blue rectangle sign stating it’s unsuitable for HGV’s that you only see once you’ve turned in. It’s a tempting shortcut to the Borrowdale road that avoids the often congested roads around the north of Keswick, but there’s a very sharp turn to make next to the cinema.
What they need to do is alter the junction layout into Manor Brow from the A591, get rid of the slip road and narrow the entrance, to make it seem like the minor road it is and put a vehicle size restriction on the road, with plenty of signage.

Well, I’m on the driver’s
Well, I’m on the driver’s side this time. If he spent the 12 minutes trying to pay for parking before giving up and leaving, then he shouldn’t be fined.
It annoys me how it seems so easy to fine drivers for (not even) a minor parking offence, yet careless driving largely goes unpunished.

I’d definitely try relocating
I’d definitely try relocating your router more centrally first before going the mesh route.
Not only is the upfront purchase cost of a mesh system going to be more than a length of Ethernet cable, but the ongoing electricity consumption for each mesh node is not insignificant.
