(ie. Does deleting the comment leave the image, as opposed to deleting the image from the comment?)

Cycling is permitted on that section with the orange dots. The River Thames is managed by the Environment Agency. There are certain sections of the Thames Path national route that are suitable for cycling, this is marked as a suitable section on the national trails map:

Any sort of chino shorts tend to work well if they’re an elastaine/cotton mix, it doesn’t have to be a technical fabric.
If the bike is fairly upright and has a big padded saddle, then normal clothes work (although I’d steer clear of any expensive high-fashion items!).
As for quick drying, I just try not to get wet. I’ve a poncho that is always in my pannier bag ready to go at the slightest hint of rain.

Fingers crossed it works. It should just beep once and say ‘off-course’ until you rejoin then it’ll pop-up ‘course found’.

Cyclist failing to stop at
Cyclist failing to stop at cycle path crossing causes BMW driver to crash!
(only joking, it was a drunk driver of course! But not bad reporting from the local rag and I had never appreciated that a traffic calming feature could double as a trap for drunk drivers. We also now know what the bar is for Thames Valley Police to take swift action!)

Do we hear the sound of happy traders, of a retail boom town? Well not exactly…There are happy traders and a retail boom happening near Wellingborough at the free (for 5 hours only) parking oasis that is Rushden Lakes.

There’s a setting to turn off automatic (or prompted) recalculating a route if you go off-course. That should stop this sort of annoying message.
I did try ‘prompted’ re-routing for a while, but it just keeps nagging you to recalculate the route.

Thanks, I might be tempted to try the washers, at least on the rear as the problem is worse there.

Yes, I expect a lip on the pad is worse than on the rotor. As well as the shuddering, if they protruded enough, they could touch and reduce braking performance.
I think all things considered, I’m better off having a lip on the rotor and the alignment is probably not too much of an issue. The post mounts are square and look to have been ‘faced’ for a tight fit with the caliper mount, so sticking a washer in there is probably not a great idea as it could cause the caliper to be off centre or could damage the face of the post mount.

I’ve only just put the new
I’ve only just put the new rotors and pads on (not even been on a ride yet) the marks are just from a few uses testing them out, so I could try a shim.
I don’t think there will be uneven wear of the pads, this didn’t seem to happen with the old rotors, where the arms were contacting the pads even more than they do with the new rotors.
It’s not going to be possible to get them perfectly aligned and I suspect it’s better to have a lip on the rotor than on the pad. So the only downside is marginally less braking power and a bit more wear on the rotor arms.

When I see a selfish driver, I don’t think that they’re letting me down as a fellow driver. I just think what an idiot.
I am sure there are selfish cyclists out there somewhere (I have yet to come across one). But if I did come across one, I can’t think what a selfish cyclist could do that would be anywhere near as bad as what a selfish driver could get up to. I would just see a selfish person and would be grateful they’re not in a car.

What we do have are selfish people and I don’t mean cyclists using the roads lawfully, I mean selfish people who get annoyed when driving if they get held up slightly by a cyclist.
