The Gamin Edge 1040 is great for endurance rides, boasting an epic 40-hour battery life that will keep you going through night and day – and another night and a bit more day.

The device measures 117.6mm x 59.3mm and features a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen. Navigation is handled by multi-band GNSS which negates typical GPS deadspots in areas like deep forests and high-rise city streets, and Garmin’s mapping is great too.

While Bike Inn lists it slightly cheaper, once UK delivery costs are added, Sigma Sports’ £349 price is the better overall deal.

Buy the Giro Cielo Mips helmet for £84.99, that’s 53% off

Scoring an 8/10 in our review, the Giro Cielo Mips helmet is a good-looking helmet that is still reasonably light and offers a number of Giro’s best safety features, despite not sitting at the top of the range.

Visually, you can see that the Giro Cielo Mips isn’t an aero helmet, with 22 vents across the structure giving it a perforated appearance.

The helmet also features the integrated Mips brain protection system, designed to help reduce rotational forces in the event of an impact. Now reduced by 53% to £84.99 in the white/silver fade colourway (pictured above), it’s strong value for a Mips-equipped helmet.

For added peace of mind when it comes to your prized possession, the Knog Scout combines a highly effective tracker with a very loud and sensitive alarm that’s sure to draw attention, and earnt a 9/10 in its road.cc review.

The tracker works in the same way as an AirTag, essentially using other people’s phones to identify where the Scout is, and it can be mounted in two ways, either fitted beneath a bottle cage, or out in full view as a deterrent.

Even in the height of a UK summer, a packable layer can prove invaluable, and the Castelli Squadra Stretch jacket fits the bill as a lightweight option for blocking wind on long descents or throwing on during the opening kilometres of a ride. It’s designed for temperatures between 10–18°C and weighs a claimed 152g, making it easy to stash in a jersey pocket.

Castelli says it has “reimagined what the shell jacket should be”, adding high-stretch side and sleeve panels for improved freedom of movement. The result is a close-fitting cut aimed at delivering “aero gains on any terrain”.

While it’s not intended as a fully waterproof rain jacket, it will help fend off light drizzle and road spray. It’s now available with a 31% discount, in electric lime, light black and silver grey colour options.
