So with no feedback how do I know at what point I’d be able to submit for something like NMOTD?

Proceedings would have to be started within 6 months* of the incident taking place, so if you’ve heard nothing by then you can safely assume it’s not going to court.

I have my camera set to produce 1 minute files, I don’t know if you can change the length on the Chilli. So then I just upload the file with the incident and the minute before and after (or whatever random rules your local police are using).

I’ve had my eBike for about a year, recently bought a trailer for it so I can do the weekly shop with it.

Bike is a Raleigh Motus, trailer is a HOMCOM cargo trailer.

Personally, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. The above article reckons producing a bicycle takes 96 Kg of CO2, that’s the same as driving a few hundred miles.

There’s also this form of letter, which is a Section 59 notice. I don’t think these are sent very often for the sort of thing you see on NMOTD, they’re more aimed at anti-social driving – the yoofs in their badly modified cars driving like twats in the Halfords car park.

Many of these incidents are slightly comical in that someone did something stupid but fortunately no-one was seriously hurt. This one is utterly horrific. As a parent to young adults of the same age group it is my worst nightmare. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-57824359 If you think that cyclists lives are of unique low value to some perpetrators of our (in)justice system then think on this. The driver had been drinking and was driving at upwards of 120mph in a 40 zone. The conditions were treacherous following rainfall. The coroner deemed that the case did not justify a record of unlawful killing, and to quote; “But did the driving meet the test of the conduct of the driver being truly exceptionally bad? No.”

    https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/coroners

“Cases where driving causes death may, therefore, only be regarded as unlawful killing for inquest purposes if they satisfy the ingredients for manslaughter (gross negligence manslaughter) or where a vehicle is used as a weapon of assault and deliberately driven at a person who dies (murder or manslaughter depending on the intent).”

If the driver had survived, I doubt he’d be prosecuted for manslaughter (death by dangerous / drunk driving seems much more likely). So I think the coroner is correct. Although I’m surprised that death by dangerous driving doesn’t count as unlawful killing.

There’s an American site that sells bikes for heavy riders – https://zizebikes.com/

Shipping and taxes would probably make it quite expensive though. I’m not aware of anything similar based in the UK.

Would probably be worth saying how much delivery is (assuming it’s not included) and where it ships from (for import duty / VAT). Unfortunately I don’t think it would be worth backing this if you’re outside the EU.

Jumping in on this one. How specific are jockey wheels on shimano mechs? I have a Sora 9 speed equipped bike on my turbo that needs new jockey wheels but I’m unsure which I need. Any suggestions?

The ones I bought have a list of what they’re compatible with, think 3400 and 3500 are Sora. Got them from Amazon:
