Another day, another DealCatcher! Today's episode features an "impressive" Whyte road bike, an expensive yet fantastic 7mesh rain jacket, and a summer training bundle feature in today's DealCatcher; what are you waiting for?
First up is the Whyte. It's the Suffolk which we tested, though in its slightly cheaper guise. It runs Shimano's 105 groupset - which makes it stunning value at £899.
Next up: 7mesh and their exceptional Revelation jacket. Sure, it's pricey, but bear with us; it's certainly worth considering, especially with a 30% discount.
Finally, SiS's summer training bundle, as always, offers stunning value on nutrition. If you're looking to stock up, look no further.
Whyte's Suffolk comes in two guises, this one with Shimano's 105 groupset and TRP's hydraullic brake set, and the one we tested with Shimano's 105 brake levers and BR-R785 disc callipers.
That one's £100 more expensive at full price than the one we've got here. But the TRP-running version has also seen a 25% price cut at Cycle Surgery.
We called the Suffolk a "brilliant bike, a great design delivering totally on its brief," and if you want a little more insight into that claim, check out our review below.
Right, get your balking out of the way; yes, this is an expensive jacket.
While we'd usually side with you and be equally hesitant over a rain coat that costs significantly more than most others on the market, we've got first hand experience with 7mesh's Revelation, and it was a good experience.
What you've got to take into consideration is that this jacket is made out of Gore-Tex, which makes it incredibly breathable while maintaining its waterproofness.
At this discount it beats most other non-cycle specific Gore Tex jackets for price while retaining the excellent cycle-specific features.
Not bad if you're looking to invest ahead of what's probably going to be a rainy autumn.
Finally, forget about the rain and the autumn and think about the now; specifically your summer training.
As always Science in Sport are offering an excellent summer training bundle at quite a hefty discount.
For your trouble, and your money, you'll be getting four flavours of SiS GO Isotonic energy gels, which we reviewed below, a big bottle, a tub of GO Electrolyte drink mix, and a tub of REGO Rapid Recovery Protein.
Given the sheer number of absolutely ludicrous KOM's I think you imagine wrongly that Strava give a damn about bad rides on their platform.
