Lance may be a busy man trying to squeeze Cancelllara out of his Maillot Jaune and publicising his worthy causes, but that doesn’t stop him having a laugh with his showbiz pals, as this vid from the LiveStrong site attests. Maybe the fine was for bad comedic timing…

Top GEar always used CB Radio, did they not !
@Jack Sexty Well, gotta be honest, to me, it really doesn't feel that way. Big parts of it are of course direct quotes from that guy from Camelbak (I quite like their products by the way, I'm not dissing on them), so that doesn't help. Anyway, just my 2 cents of course.
@Rendel Harris Yes, it does say that, and even if it didn't, the whole vibe of the context makes that abundantly clear. My point is, if it is so clear, then also just label it as such. But apparently an editor wrote this (could have fooled me), so technically it is indeed 'By by ROAD.CC TECH', I guess.
I assume the Road CC team is drafting a post/article about this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOdMUwRU4ZY
I don't think that comment is fair in this case. The driver had taken all the reasonable steps he could think of to check that the race had passed, before driving onto the course. Clearly more thought needs to be given to this aspect of road racing. Maybe portable stop signals could be placed at intersections where barriers aren't feasible and these are activated some time before the race passes and deactivated after it has gone. However, this will still not stop a driver perhaps with early onset dementia) emerging from a residential driveway onto the course. Risk can be reduced but not totally eliminated.
@Sredlums It says quite clearly that the article contains "paid promotion" for the product. That's more than enough to let the reader know what they're getting, in my opinion.
@ktache rendel beat me by two minutes. Grrr...

Apparently they spun off the outdoor division and it was purchased by someone else. Only reason I got another one of their excellent chill bottles.
@hawkinspeter Actually no, I looked this up when this question arose before: in 2023 Vista split its outdoor products arm and its firearms and ammunition arm into two separate entities, respectively Revelyst and The Kinetic Group, and the latter was purchased by a Czech defence manufacturer in 2024. Revelyst was purchased by a private equity firm in 2025, and so Camelbak are now completely free of any ties with Vista Outdoors or any arms manufacturer.

Wonder if he is getting in to
Wonder if he is getting in to character for an upcoming film part with that haircut, or is that Ben Stiller’s actual haircut?
