OPINION

A busy bank holiday...

It feels like ages since I have blogged consistently so I am now planning to knuckle down and get back to a decent level of output before the Tour de France.

Since getting back from honeymoon (where I lost a track stand competition on the cruise ship!) I have managed 180 miles (second half of May) and have got plenty of enthusiasm for cycling back.

Its all about time at the moment and the bank holiday weekend was a case in point.

Saturday London

Natural History museum and shops in Knightsbridge (it was both our birthdays last week too !)

Guinness Premiership rugby final Leicester vs Saracens (I know I am a rugby league man but this was a great game... wanted a Sarries win though).

Sunday London

Quick hour on the singlespeed in the wind before heading down the M11 towards Lakeside Decathlon. Traffic was bad so went into London to Surrey Quays.

Emptied their branch of Decathlon, including new hrm with a variety of gadgets on it. Promise to read manual.

Huge crash on Canning Town flyover so takes hours to get home.

Monday Home

Battle the drizzle around the fens for an hour. Visit family.

I think both the wife and I had hope for a soft landing back from the wedding and honeymoon... not going to happen is it?

y'know what you should do Jimmy? You should bring a little camera with you when you go out… so we can have some proo… pics of the Fens. No need to bring it to Lakeside or Surrey Quays though 1
