Very famously, YT Industries has had a tough old time recently, after announcing its entry into self-administration. However, Markus Flossmann’s purchase of his old bike company came as a glimmer of hope for the German brand, and today, YT Industries has launched its first bike in the new era of the brand – a limited edition Tues downhill bike.

If you know the downhill circuit, or YT Industries in general, the Tues needs absolutely no introduction. It brought rider, Vali Höll, an immense level of success while scoring a Red Bull Rampage win with Andreau Lacondeguy. Between 2011 and 2013, the brand brought limited edition versions of the bike, equipped with high-end kit but at a relatively accessible price point.

Now the brand has been relaunched, YT Industries is taking things back to those very roots – offering high-performance bikes at a good price and with that, it’s unveiled its latest Tues.

This new limited edition Tues isn’t too dissimilar to what we saw pre-administration, which means good things if you’re after a championship-winning rig. But it gets a sleek and exclusive back and white paint job, Ultimate level RockShox suspension with a BoXXer up front and a Vivid at the rear, along with TRP DH-R Evo brakes, and TRP’s EVO 7 drivetrain. A really neat touch is that the bike comes sorted with O-Chain’s anti-kickback device as standard.

The bike is then finished off with a pair of Crankbrothers DH carbon wheels on Industry Nine hubs.

There is a bit of a catch, however. At €4444, YT Industries will only be releasing 50 bikes worldwide. They’ll be available from the 12th of December.

“Back to the roots is not just a slogan for us. It’s a promise. And launching the new TUES Limited is one of the clearest ways to show the world what YT stands for: honest pricing, uncompromising performance, and bikes built for real riders who live this sport every day.” – Markus Flossmann, Founder and CEO
