Alongside the update of the Mach 6 enduro bike, Pivot has also given the Shuttle its very first refresh for 2021. Updates include a new motor with a bigger battery and a chunky fork from Fox along with a few quality of life tweaks.

Let’s start with that new motor. The updated Shuttle comes kitted with Shimano’s EP8 unit paired with a beasty 726Wh battery. The move to the EP8 motor was made due to its lighter weight, its extra power, and its quietness over the previous iteration.
While the big battery allows for more assisted riding, the Shuttle is also compatible with the smaller 635Wh and 508Wh batteries if you would like to shed some weight.
As with the last model, the battery is completely internal but it’s accessible via a two-bolt removal system.
There’s also a fully integrated charging port meaning you’ll just have to plug the charging cable directly into the side of the frame and the power button is neatly combined with the cable port.
The bike gets a full carbon frame with Fox’s new 38 eMTB specific fork providing 160mm of travel at the front and the renowned dw-link paired with a Fox DPX2 sorts out the 140mm of rear suspension.
Thanks to the dw-link, Pivot says the bike benefits from position-sensitive anti-squat that eliminates pedal bob during harder efforts. It also promises improved traction.
As for the geometry, all sizes get a 64.3° head tube angle, a 74° effective seat tube angle and a 441mm chainstay. A large frame gets a 460mm reach.
This Shuttle comes in one build only featuring a Shimano XTR drivetrain with a Fox Transfer dropper post with 29″ DT Swiss EB 1535 wheels wrapped with a Maxxis Assegai 2.5″ up front and a Minion DHR II 2.4″ at the rear.
The new Pivot Shuttle is available in four sizes from S to XL and will set you back $11,000 (around £8,300).
