broken bike.jpgSecond cyclist dies following multiple vehicle collision that also claimed his friend’s life
A second cyclist has died following a multiple vehicle collision in Liverpool that also claimed the life of his riding partner.
Three cars were involved in the crash near Liverpool John Lennon Airport in Speke on 28 February in which cyclist Clare Killey lost her life.

Merseyside Police have now confirmed that her friend Tony Cope, with whom she was riding, has died in hospital three weeks after the collision.
The 39-year-old from Halewood was described as an “amazing dad, partner, son, brother and friend” who “loved cycling and carp fishing.”
Police added that a 21-year-old man, also from Halewood, had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving but had been released under investigation.
Officers are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, to contact @MerPolCC, call 0151 777 5747 or 101 with reference 0822 of 28.02.19.
