Strava has updated the interface of its app to make it easier to use for athletes. These app navigation updates are available for all athletes, with the changes applying for subscribers and free athletes, on both iOS and Android.
The fitness tracking app has changed the tabs that appear on the bottom of the app screen.

The new tabs on the bottom of the app screen, from left to right, are now as follows: Home, Maps, Record, Groups and You.

Before the update the tabs were: Home, Explore, Record, Profile and Training.
The features previously found in profile and training tabs will now be included within the new You tab, which gives room for the new Groups and Maps tabs.
This improved tab layout promises to make it easier for athletes to find and use the features they want, to motivate themselves and is also said to creates space for new experiences.

They have over 50 million
They have over 50 million users and have NEVER made a profit.
WTF.
Rapha lost 20 million$ last year on selling shorts they get made in China for $33 and sell for £180
Wahoo kickr bike im on my third. Brother is on his second. Out of 13 owners KickR owners in our club, 10 have had them replaced at least once. Which is a paid for collection, delivery of a new one.
I dont understand the world of major money, but who the feck pays the electricity bill next year?
they have 76 millions users
they have 76 millions users and are believed on track for profit this year, which is why their market valuation has trippled since 2019.
It’s because of cheapskates
It’s because of cheapskates who spend many thousands on bikes and equipment but not on a service they use constantly that it has taken so long for Strava to make a profit.
Their much derided decison to charge for a major part of their service is the reason they are now looking ok and sustainable.
But people, yeah. People want something for nothing and moan when they can’t have it (or when people ask them to work for nothing).
Yeah I use just the free
Yeah I use just the free version of Strava, I haven’t had enough chance to ride plenty to need any of the features that are now in the subscription part. But equally, I’m not going to complain at any changes they decide to make or any lack of services they provide (short of it stopping completely). If Strava is that big a deal for your riding then you should definitely pay the pretty small monthly charge they’re asking, save some money, make some home made energy bars etc and pay for the service you want.
The app updated but the site
The app updated but the site and api’s are down 🙂 🙂 🙂
Possibly planned – wouldn’t wanna be in their tech team if not 🙂
So it’s not just me then, I
So it’s not just me then, I didn’t think it would be ?
