I wouldn’t like to guess
I wouldn’t like to guess howto solve your issue but if you don’t have confidence of what the fitter has recomended i’d get a second opinion.
Knee pain in many seems to be caused by the saddle being set high but i guess you’ve tried lowering etc.
Whats your core strength like? I had loads of issues controlling my right leg after injury because my right side had lost loads of strength compared to my left side.

how deep is it difficult to
how deep is it difficult to tell. I would imagine as others have said a carbon repair shop would be the best place to get some advice.

whats your current bikes
whats your current bikes stack and reach? i went from a sportive fit to a race fit with something like 30mm drop in stack. The only way to really know is try one or get a fit with a recommendation. I’m top of a 54 bottom of 56 I road a 54 for 100+ miles but couldn’t use the drops on the flat so went 56 which has been fine. Fit is a really personal thing.

This is an interesting
This is an interesting question. i dont find my race bike anymore tiring than my sportive bike i think it’s rare that a race bike beats you up these days technology has moved on. Maybe what should determine what bikes we purchase should be our flexibility? When i bought my race bike on paper it wasnt much different but i couldnt get into the drops for more than 2 minutes i knew i’d made a mistake but i knew i could get that flexibility back i’d lost over the years by working at it off the bike. If the weathers good no way i’d ride my relaxed bike these days if i can possibly help it they are just not as much fun.

My brake cable for the back runs through the frame )that klunks at full lock as it tries to pull out of the guidepablo
I have a Evo Hi-Mod with
I have a Evo Hi-Mod with ultegra di2. I’ve ridden standard evos and Caads. If you ride the Hi-Mod back to back with a standard Evo their is a difference but….. Probably more to do with differences between finishing kit and wheels Hi-Mod is for the weight weenies I don’t see the point an the synapses hi mod. I’ve said it a few times I’d be more than happy with a caad.
My next bike will probably be an Evo disc (gasp!) And ultegra di2pablo
bikes have got a bit
bikes have got a bit expensive over the last couple of years

what do you mean gravely?
what do you mean gravely? general range for a roadbike like yours would be a 23 or 25mm potentially at a push 28mm with enough clearance. Wider is the current trend with most i’d imagine running 25mm i’d go 28mm if i could. Wider should be more stable.

odd.
odd.
I have a 3T but use it with a tacx flux which outputs cadence i don’t use on bike.
All working via ant+ no blutooth as i’ve always found it a pain. Are you getting cadence data out on a garmin etc.
Don’t thin think you can set a cadence target in trainerroad it’s all about power and thats perscribed by your ftp.

I’d always go caad as they
I’d always go caad as they are great bikes i’ve ridden a few and have it’s bigger brother and the differneces isn’t as much as the marketing would have you think. On the other hand if your not invested or in love with one particular brand I woulds go for spec.
The Caad would probably have a higher resale value in the future i was looking for a used 10 or 12 frame last year and some of the prices were silly.

never ridden a canyon but
never ridden a canyon but have ridden a Standard evo, evo disc, Caad10 & 12, and own a hi-mod. Their is adifference in feel between all of them even though they all share basically the same geo but most of that may be down to wheelsets. I’d buy any of them brilliant bikes. I always thought i wasnt that flexible after 20 years of office work and that it’d be hell but after riding a hire bike for a week i was hooked.
The canyons are supposedly good bikes.

freemotion. use them every
freemotion. use them every year brand new bikes every season and lots of mechnics to maintain them. i got back a few weeks ago i had a supersix evo ultegra disc it was faultless. My brother-in-law had a specialised but for some reason it had mid compact gearing he struggled a bit so they changed the rings. Not the cheapest but hassle free. Ride up Pico Nieves you’ll love it 8000ft in 40k from memory.

Weight. Would mean for
Weight. Would mean for marketing purposes your light as air frame will always be heavier than the competition.
From personal experience side play (tolerance across the shell) is also a factor probably more than O/D issues. The number of people who try everything to get the cups to stop squeaking but even small amounts of side play between the bearing and crank spindle can be noisy. I measured the shells on mine and they are within tolerance but the width across the BB was about 0.5mm out of tolerance.pablo
wouldnt worry on a turbo.
wouldnt worry on a turbo. cheapest you can find thats compatible. I have a wheel off trainer and run my climbing gears on that 11-32 they only get used oncenor twice a year so less messing around swapping. Even a basic fluid trainer with no resistance i wouldn’t worry about it.

Totally normal. Bike frames
Totally normal. Bike frames are hand layed so each one is unique. They are normally painted or have a cosmetic carbon outer layer (think supercars) to tidy it up but this adds a bit of weight. Ironically bear carbon probably works out a little cheaper for a manufacturer but they probably get more returns because people think something is wrong with them -
