no point traing to do a training plan just crack on you’ll get more benefit in the long run your basically signing up to 20 weeks of training using your method those first 8 weeks could be junk miles with no learning or benefit.  British cycling do training plans on the website and is well worth joining if your not already a member.  As others have said Trainer road is also very good and they offer virtual power which is a far better method of training i’ve never found training with HR that reliable and would favour RPE (Rated Perceived Excertion) over it but every one is different.

Have you fitted the O ring
Have you fitted the O ring with the lock ring? Don’t over tighten.
Have you filled with sealant or is this before filling? Filling may seal it.

    Impressive wearing chainrings
Impressive wearing chainrings in 2000 mile especially praxis rings which are all cold forged rather than CNC machined this should make them last longer. Have you got pics because honestly I don’t believe it.

    Not something I ever thought
Not something I ever thought about but all bike wheels will be out of balance purely at the valve assuming the wheel is 100% consistent which I doubt they are. I’ve seen a few posts in the past but generally the consensus its not an issue.
Are they setup tubeless? If they are they will have 40ml of sealant sloshing around which will pool at the bottom.

I would suspect the heat is causing the tyre to expand and opening up the holes does it seal again after the ride?
A fun geeky experiment would be to pump up and go for a ride outdoors for say an hour and when you get back take the pressure again. Repeat on the rollers I bet you see some significant pressures rises.

    Optical is good but straps
Optical is good but straps are normally a little more reliable. Training by heart rate I find really hard (I train with power now). The heart rate zones don’t really work for me my heart rate pickups so fast trying to judge an effort is next to impossible to even hit a zone and maintain it. I personally think RPE is far better than watching heart rate unless all you plan to do is ride at steady state. LTP (lower threshold power) is the only one I can relate to heart rate and even then it’s more of an interesting fact than useful.

Schwalbe Pro one. Easiest tyres I have every fitted could do it one handed. This was on a new set of zipps so not sure if it was the rim or tyre but most peoples reviews say how easy they are. Conti to seem to be a nightmare

    Sometimes even with wheels

Sometimes even with wheels more expensive than the total cost of your bike you can get a badly tensioned set.  I had a Shimano set on a bought bike that were out of true in a couple of weeks.  I would just retrue them or take it back to Halfords for a trueing.  As for gear tuning unusally i haven’t touched a bike this year normally i have to do a bit of tweaking and i’m just under 6.5k for the year.  The only tuning that should really be required is cable tension which can be adjusted with the barrel adjusters unless you knock the derailleur.  As we’ve had a very decent summer bike maintainance has been pretty minimal other than cleaning.  Winter being here now i expect way more maintainance for far fewer miles.

So many many moons ago I used to have minor involvement in setting up car front ends for crash and pedestrian safety and used to talk regularly with the CAE boys and girls about the results from simulation runs and physical testing and I came to the conclusion that if I was unlucky enough to end up going over the bonnet of a car the biggest risk to me was on the bike. The G loading on your brain maybe survivable at the speeds tested but I was never really convinced you wouldn’t end up as a vegetable. The key to survivability was deceleration at a G that was survivable and personally anything other than my skull will always help with that. MIPS and similar systems may or may not help that much but it’s better than nothing.
These Threads are a little bit like flat earthers trying to prove the unprovable I feel that you expect everyone to have a light bulb moment and see your point of view and then throw all our helmets in the bin.
The truth is the evidence is not great either way and that’s purely because the legislature doesn’t care enough about it to spend the money investigating it or forcing others to do it for them. What the bike industry spends on it is chump changes it needs millions every year.

Guy lives in Florida so very flat a 52 would be perfect. The 11-25 confused me at first because it’s not something that I’d run even on a compact but in Florida….. I tried a 52 sub compact a few years ago and went away from it but recently got a bike with it and 11-30 cassette on the back and am loving it now. I’m pretty fit this year which helps and am setting PR’s on my local Cat 3/4 climbs. I haven’t got massive power but spinning a high cadence let’s my heart rate run away spinning a lower cadence 75-80 average works well for me. I get high cadence is less fatiguing and i can understand the logic on multiday events but on a 2-4 hour ride I don’t really get leg fatigue much anymore

Both. leg warmers if the weather’s changeable although I don’t like them that much as they restrict my knee movement a bit. Not much but after an hour you start noticing these things. Bibs in deepest darkest winter with no hope of it warming up again the knee thing gets on my nerves but last year I discovered the castelli ones with the inner liner which were a revelation as it’s stays relatively stationary over the knee.

I agree with this 100% even
I agree with this 100% even though I ride di2 SRAM are trying to innovate but really most of that is just to sell to tech heads let’s be honest other than a few minutes of wow look at that all you really want is the thing to shift gears reliably.
Interestingly I saw that SRAM are using your data to direct future product development which I think is pretty cool so they can use shifting patterns to develop future cassettes. It would be pretty cool if the app advised you on the best cassette to buy.

You can get some pretty good deals on force bikes as well if your not to bothered by brand Ive seen some stonking deals it’s just ashame they can’t get the groupset retail pricing down for home builders as alot more people would ride it. Also cassettes and general spares are pretty expensive so worth considering.
12 speeds interesting and to me makes sense although I’ve seen recently on another site tour riders are using 54/39 on RED and aren’t using the 10 tooth. Feeling is this is for efficiency reasons and of course if you’ve got a 54 you don’t really need a 10.

Did you clean the disc as well? What did you clean with? Car brake cleaner is the best think to use. You can also sand the pad down slightly using a fine paper. Ive never had a front be noisy it’s normally the back with all the oil and crap that gets thrown up
