If we’re all being sent to rwanda, I need to know are the roads any good, or do I need a gravel bike?

Looks like a gravel bike might be advisable for maximum enjoyment, although they are driving the growth of African professional road cycling.

Just to say that in theory we do not vote for parties, we vote for a single mp who is supposed to represent the views of the constituents in parliament. This means that the mp should canvas opinions before every vote to ascertain what the views of the constituents are.

That’s not quite how it’s supposed to work. We’re supposed to vote for the person who we think would make the best decisions on our behalf, which is a subtle but important difference. It doesn’t entail that they should vote in accordance with the way a majority of constituents would, since the majority can make bad decisions, whether through a lack of information/understanding of the issue, or because, in some contexts and on some issues, we’re all quite bad at making decisions.

    Couldn’t we just argue that
Couldn’t we just argue that their contract is unenforceable, due to misrepresentation and unconscionability?

The restriction is clearly having an impact.

    Preventing impacts, surely?

From what I can make out

From what I can make out before the story disappears behind the blocker, they’re suggesting that the vast amounts of traffic queuing to get in to the LTN will back up and spill out onto the main road, where other traffic will be utterly incapable of avoiding them and simply plough into the stationary vehicles through no fault of their own. Or something.

According to the Poles, though, not so much.

Hopefully it managed to avoid hitting any of them. Convenient that they were already on the scene though.

    Well, in somewhat simplified

Well, in somewhat simplified terms, yes. If you have a quick half and it goes straight to your head, making you a bit wobbly when you ride off, you’re committing an offence, whereas if you have 2 or 3 and yet are able to remain in perfect control of the bike, you’re not.

[Edit] Oh wait – I see – unfit – because they have a beer belly.  Sorry – I was being a bit slow there. I haven’t touched a drop, though, honest.

    How much they were drinking

How much they were drinking wouldn’t be so relevant per se – you’d just need to observe whether they appeared unfit to cycle as they rode away.

That’s what happens when you post while drunk.

When I read the headline I just thought that if I’d just crashed my escooter I might want to go and get drunk as well.
