Looks like Tesla has gone to a full on arsehole driver mode.
Perhaps learned from its drivers?

Both my Chris King and XT
Both my Chris King and XT headsets havesealed units, but they contain bearings that seem to be the same 5/32 bearings that were in my headset bearing cages when I had them, so the units would be bigger than the cage bearings.
At least that’s my quick take on this, I quite happily stand to be corrected.

I was going to post this on the live blog, but this thread seems the perfect forum.
On my ride into work this morning, I passed two cars, very seperately, and both seemingly shiny new (not good with no. plates) they were a very dull grey, pretty much match to one of the shades of old, worn and dry tarmac.

My little hardware shop has several such boxes, managed to replace a leaking seal on my marzochi Z2s and replace a weird spring on the bottom of my Topeka Joe blow delux. Low prices too.
The workshop in microbiology, uni reading had many, I got on very well with the blokes and could peruse and aquire to my heart’s content. I was a great “salvager”, had to be, keeping equipment going, even repairing stuff people had thrown away. (And running old bicycles too…)
Not meant to be fixing stuff anymore…

Great to see highlights on DMAX, and that Road.cc have decided not to spoil my miserly viewing pleasure by announcing the result before I have a chance to view it.

Hope we’re replacing the cables on my lights and batteries for nowt, well after their warranty had ended, and even paying for it is worthwhile.
The weld the lower jaw on my Park Tools aluminium workstand failed. Had to be getting on for 15 years old, they had exploded diagrams, and parts lists, and keep a stock of lots of parts for discontinued stuff. A few emails, a payment (admittedly not insignificant) and a wait and I have my workstand back. They had replaced the doohickey from my crank removal tool for nowt a while back too.
But one of the bast, the stirring propeller on my lab’s Grant water bath had died. Phoned up Grant and had a good chat with a fine gentleman in their repairs department, mostly about the vintage of some of the water baths in the teaching labs, orange ones from the 70s, some big metal bodied ones from the 50s and 60s, still going strong, less safety features mind. Gave my details expecting a bit of back and forth for payment, and a few days before Christmas three of them show up in a jiffy bag.

Whilst unlocking my bike this
Whilst unlocking my bike this evening at work, I remembered my square taper bottom bracket installation, been so long, those things last so much longer than the hollowtechs, the non drive size has no flange and mine have always had a couple of threads showing, not a huge amount, but it never went fully in.

There are ceramic and carbide rims out there , provided you can get compatible pads for your cantis, that will massively improve your stopping power and extend the life of the rims.

From the video it looked like the impact cut all power in the bus, which then had no brakes, the careened into the house. Which is a tad worrying.
£300,000 damage.

Sounds good, you appear to
Sounds good, you appear to have the right length axle and the right shell size for the bottom bracket, to be able to get it out you have the correct tool.
Even if there is 1/2mm difference it’s not going to make too much difference, maybe a slight adjustment on the front derailleur, if you have one.
Enjoy doing your own spannering, there will be mistakes, some expensive, but you will learn from everyone of them. And such a feeling of satisfaction.

I like the finger over the hole to help the sealant.
But then I don’t get the joy of seeing the bubbles getting smaller and slower. Low pressures.
I swapped my tyres ove last night, something more all-round (Nobby Nics). I have burned off too much of the mud specific Dirt Wizard on the rear so it’s now spinning in the lower gear deep mud that we have at the moment. There was an inch long thorn in the front that could have been in there for months.
There is a lot of mud at the moment, and standing water where I have never seen it, but the mud seems lighter than the thick Jan/Feb filth.
