    I’m running the Yokozuna

I’m running the Yokozuna Ultimo cable actuated hydraulics on my gravel bike, which I used on LEJoG last year. They’re a big upgrade in feel and ease of adjustment from BB7 mechanicals, but not as good as even the cheap MT200 hydraulics on my commuter bike. I’d say they’re 80% of the way there, though.

They may also sold under the Juin Tech brand, it’s unclear whether they’re identical or just coincidentally similar.

What are your goals? They are

What are your goals? They are supposed to be more resistant to pinch flats.

I’d start with the “firm” value on this tire pressure calculator and see how you like it. Try the “soft” value if you want to go faster and be more comfortable on gravel or rough roads.

    https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/laurel-police-arrest-woman-for-driving-through-main-street-festival/3911062/

Laurel police say they stopped a woman as she purposely drove on a closed road through crowds of people getting ready for the start of the Main Street Festival.

Officials told News4 no festival goers were hurt. An officer had minor injuries but is expected to be okay.

Police say The woman, 28-year-old Kai DeBerry-Bostick, was warned multiple times not to drive through closed roads, but she ignored their commands, police said.

Her car was parked within the perimeter of the festival and she insisted she had to get out to go to work.

Officials released body worn camera video showing the officer’s interaction with the woman before she pulled down the yellow tape and took off.

An officer could be heard offering to call her a taxi before she started driving. As she drove, an officer could be heard repeatedly shouting, “Stop” and “Get out of the car.”

Another video shot by a vendor at the festival showed how the incident ended: police pulled DeBerry-Bostick out of her car and leading her away in handcuffs

And just 80 miles from that

And just 80 miles from that one, 1 killed, another in critical condition after car drives into Mattoon nursing home in suspected DUI crash.

First responders were called to the Odd-Fellow Rebekah nursing home on Lafayette Ave E near Odd Fellow Road around 11:30 a.m.

The Mattoon Police Department said that a Nissan Pathfinder driven by Curtis A. Meadows, 54, crashed into the building. Meadows was arrested for suspicion of aggravated DUI by Mattoon PD.

Two women were in a room at the home when the car hit the building. An 82-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and an 86-year-old was flown to Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign where she’s listed in critical condition, according to Mattoon PD.

This very sad story is “local

This very sad story is “local” (<100 mi) to me and is making the national news this side of the pond.

Driver of deadly crash at after-school camp is a former State Police employee

Three young children and an 18-year-old killed. She drove right through the building, out the other side, and stopped once she hit a utility pole. Shades of the Wimbledon School crash.

Driver has not been arrested, awaiting toxicology results, malice not suspected.

Here’s approximately where she went off the road into the field.

The couple moved to the west

The couple moved to the west coast and I only occasionally see them when they visit. We weren’t close. They were closer friends with hung over guy.

Hung over guy is a much closer friend now than he was then, and I’ve done lots of riding with him. He’s also become a stronger cyclist than he was that day.

Is there a delay on new forum threads appearing? I made a new one in Tea Stop half an hour ago, and it said it was successful but I don’t see it yet.

They’re nowhere near profitable. There’s no plausible path to profitability. They lose dollars or tens of dollars on every use, and are even losing money on their paid users. Your engagement is worth fractional pennies.

That said, I don’t actually use it.
