Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

Don’t think it was the police
Don’t think it was the police but a town team chairman.

Hope the wall turns the other cheek.

Thanks Dave, I’m convinced

Thanks Dave, I’m convinced that the bridge wasn’t wearing enough Hi Viz.

And I also find it strange that the policeman would think that the church’s insurance would even think about paying for repairs to the wall.  Seems to me that the driver of the motor vehicle may be somewhat responsible there.

literally unless the guy was

literally unless the guy was attempting a drive-thru ram raid to the pub, you cant believe how poorly they must have been driving to have ended up there, and not to have failed a drug/drink driving test.

I don’t anticipate they’ll be any criminal conviction for this ‘accident’, so is it illegal?!

Actually, if you read the report, it had nothing to do with the BMW driver. It says, “A driver was freed by firefighters after his car hit a pub in Bury St Edmunds on Friday night.”

A narrow, cobbled street in

A narrow, cobbled street in Shrewsbury will be closed for 9 months after “numerous vehicle strikes” have damaged a historic 14th Century building in the town centre. (Shropshire Star)

“The repairs to the timber frame will be complex and the councils’ Property Services Group is working closely with conservation architects and engineers to develop an appropriate design to be agreed with Historic England”

Translation: council tax payers will be funding the hefty repair bill.

Fish Street is narrow, cobbled and virtually a cul-de-sac. A photo of the street in an earlier article gives a good idea of what it’s like.

Not so fast there – it was

Not so fast there – it was dark ,so you need to ask whether the shop had lights and hi viz because nothing is ever a driver’s fault.
