Exactly. I’m not on X, but here’s what today’s live blog looks like. The video even plays for me.
I do occasionally see blank ones, usually when “this content is not available in your country.” Not much they can (legally) do about that.

Indeed, my current EV has done 11 000 miles and has 4mm of tread left meaning I’ll need to change it within the year, or less than 15 000 miles.I know EV’s are hard on tyres, but surely not that bad when compared with tyres on ICE cars?
That tyre comes with a 6 year/60,000 mile treadwear warranty in the U.S. It’s not a performance tyre, it’s a decent quality, utilitarian tyre with a 700 treadwear rating.
Some EVs eat tyres as it’s so easy to accelerate at the tyre’s limit, and they weigh nearly double the equivalent petrol car. Still, 15,000 miles is pretty ridiculous if you have a good alignment, rotate appropriately, and are driving it sanely. I used to get over 25,000 miles from performance tyres on my turbo Forester, driven by my teenage sons, and even doing the occasional track day.

Do you think it did a good job of reading the number plate? Is it easily human readable when zoomed in?

I may have posted this
I may have posted this previously, but I estimated a few years ago that bicycles lose about 1/3 the rubber per mile or km compared to basic cars. If anyone has any better numbers for any of these, I can put them in, or I can share the Google sheet and you can play with it.
Intuitively, it seems like it should be more like a tenth than a third.

I think we all know which vehicle did it.

Switch left and right in this
Switch left and right in this story for UK readers.
Last night was our monthly night ride. We do a slow roll on mostly neighborhood streets for about an hour. We had at least a dozen people show up. Lights are required, so we are really visible.
As we approached a stop sign where we intended to turn left onto a road with through traffic, the first two got there early and were able to go. I was next, and I stopped as there was a car approaching from my right. The driver stopped short of the intersection even though they had priority, and waved us through. I would have preferred if they had just gone and got it over with, but I wasn’t going to argue, and the rest of us made our left turn.
Positive interaction, right?
As the vehicle passed us, the driver shouted out of their window, “you suck!”

This sort of thing can
This sort of thing can actually help with traffic as long as there’s a lot of through traffic, and they are built with absolutely no exits except for services. But that will never happen.

Very, very local. This happened a mile from my house. I used to attend this church when I was still pretending to be Catholic. I rode by on my way home to take a photo for all of you.

Geometric works.

I’d also allow backing off one level for every year with no offences. Ideally, you could have a transponder in your car that would automatically emit a nice old-fashioned cash register * ka-ching! * every time you got a fine, in real time.

Close. Original photo from my son today. He was getting back from walking his dog when this driver crashed into the trees in front of his apartment (flat.) He found the driver unconscious inside and called 911. He seems to be okay now.

I’m running the Yokozuna
I’m running the Yokozuna Ultimo cable actuated hydraulics on my gravel bike, which I used on LEJoG last year. They’re a big upgrade in feel and ease of adjustment from BB7 mechanicals, but not as good as even the cheap MT200 hydraulics on my commuter bike. I’d say they’re 80% of the way there, though.
They may also sold under the Juin Tech brand, it’s unclear whether they’re identical or just coincidentally similar.

What are your goals? They are supposed to be more resistant to pinch flats.
I’d start with the “firm” value on this tire pressure calculator and see how you like it. Try the “soft” value if you want to go faster and be more comfortable on gravel or rough roads.

Laurel police say they stopped a woman as she purposely drove on a closed road through crowds of people getting ready for the start of the Main Street Festival.
Officials told News4 no festival goers were hurt. An officer had minor injuries but is expected to be okay.
Police say The woman, 28-year-old Kai DeBerry-Bostick, was warned multiple times not to drive through closed roads, but she ignored their commands, police said.
Her car was parked within the perimeter of the festival and she insisted she had to get out to go to work.
Officials released body worn camera video showing the officer’s interaction with the woman before she pulled down the yellow tape and took off.
An officer could be heard offering to call her a taxi before she started driving. As she drove, an officer could be heard repeatedly shouting, “Stop” and “Get out of the car.”
Another video shot by a vendor at the festival showed how the incident ended: police pulled DeBerry-Bostick out of her car and leading her away in handcuffs
