Dani King’s Colnago V1-r race bike up for sale - for $6,500

Want to buy Dani King’s Colnago V1-r race bike? Well you can, because here old race bike is up for sale, a rare chance to get your hands on such a gem. 

The Colnago V1-r, in full race trim including a Campagnolo Super Record EPS groupset (but a Chorus chainset) with Bora Ultra 50 wheels and Deda handlebars and stem, is currently listed at $6,500. If you have any desire to ride it, you should know that it’s a size 48cm.

The bike is being sold on GoExPro, a website that says it is able to source products used by professional athletes and teams and sell them on to keen cycling fans. No, we’ve never heard of them before, but it says it has “…previously sold commonwealth games gold medalist machines, Olympic champions, and world cup medalists.”

“Where we know the specific history of the bike's usage we will always endeavour to mention in the description into which bike category each of our products fits,” the company adds.

And Dani’s bike isn’t the only one up for sale, there are quite a few 2015 Wiggle-Honda race bikes up for grabs. There is also a shed load of equipment for sale, including wheels, handlebars, complete groupsets, all once used by the Wiggle-Honda race team.

Why is all this Wiggle-Honda kit for sale? A change of sponsor. The team is now Wiggle High 5, so it's clearing out the old product it can no longer use. The team is still using Colnago bikes and Campagnolo groupsets and wheels, though.
