The last two sessions of an innovative scheme, called Cycle My Way being run at the Redbridge Cycle Centre take place tomorrow and next Thursday, August 20. The Cycle My Way cycling club is for adults with learning disabilities, offering the opportunity for participants to learn how to cycle in a safe, supervised and fun environment.
The sessions are designed to help those taking part develop skills and abilities they might not have known they had due to lack of opportunity, equipment, access and facilities in the borough.
The club addresses a clear barrier to cycling for people with learning disabilities by offering access to specially-adapted bikes and sufficient support to enable this activity to be as real as possible for participants.
Together with the initial project, Cycle My Way also aims to train individuals from within its network as cycle instructors so the club can be keep going beyond the initial project. Sessions run from 10am-1pm.
The coaching schemes are part of the Play Sport London Scheme, which is backed by the Mayor of London and Commissioner for Sport Kate Hoey, and it is funded by the London Development Agency, and more than 140 grass-roots clubs across the capital are taking part.
The aim is to build on the success of an earlier scheme, Summer of Sport, which reached around 8,000 Londoners last year. Other activities include football coaching, hockey and boxing skills for beginners.

As a Marxist/Leninist/Fascist/Neo-contrapuntalist, I wish to complain at your cancel culture.
But it rather depends on identifiying the suspect, and how would they do that?
No worries. In NFBUK world shared paths will be banned, so that goes away and you are back in the road .
