Why do you think that? I don’t think cycling in London hasn’t gotten any less safe in recent times – probably safer if anything.

I wonder if he’ll get the usual cycling related comments when the Daily Mail report it?

Most probably he will and it’ll include some insults about his music also. I expect a few will ask why he was cycling since he can afford an expensive car. But then didn’t he include a line about driving at 90 along country lanes? Coupled with him being a musician that would result in some insurance firms refusing his business.

The daily mail included two pictures of him on a chopper style bike without a front brake, and many seemed to think it’s illegal, but it probably had a saddle height of less than 635mm so it would be exempt. Of course there isn’t much point in trying to educate the DM readers.

My cynical thought is that I’m glad its happened to someone popular, because maybe it will serve to highlight the plight of cyclists.
My second thought is that I wish Ed Sheeran no ill and hope he recovers well.
