Coach assaulting young cyclist in Egypt (Modo Peiraias Facebook video still).PNGVideo: Shocking footage as coach punches and kicks young rider
Shocking footage has emerged online that shows a man, said to be a cycling coach, punching and kicking a young rider in Egypt.
The video was posted to Facebook on 22 January by Alexandria-based cyclist Modo Peiraias.
It’s not clear exactly when the incident happened, which event the youngster was participating in, or what had happened immediately beforehand.
By any standards, though, it’s a brutal assault and one that leaves the young rider lying on the roadside.
The coach, who only stopped the attack when approached by several men, one of whom appears as though he may be a race commissaire, gets back in his van.
