Last call for Swindon - Team road.cc rideout

Ride with Team road.cc this weekend

Our first Team road.cc rideout of 2016 is this coming Sunday (24th) at the Hargroves Cycles store in Swindon, Wiltshire.

We've got a couple of routes planned for you, one at 55km and the other is 71km with both heading to Cirencester for a well earned cake and coffee stop before looping back to Swindon for some post ride nibbles and the famous road.cc schwag handout.

Both routes are pretty flat and will be kept off of the main roads, using the lanes and taking in the scenery of the Cotswolds. We can't promise any sun though!

Hargroves will be laying on some pre-ride coffee and tea in time for the riders briefing at 9am before we set off at 9:30. The staff will also be on hand for any mechanical issues.

Sound fun? Well if you think so then click here to get your name registered and we'll see you Sunday bright and early.

The store is on an industrial estate so there is plenty of parking.

Oh yeah - it's free!!

Chichester

Can't make Swindon this weekend, well what about Chichester?

We've teamed up with the guys at Hargroves again for another rideout from their Chichester store on the 23rd February - click here to register.

Team road.cc team member Ian Upham is coming up with some routes as we write this so we'll be back with full details soon.

Since writing his first bike review for road.cc back in early 2009 senior product reviewer Stu has tested more than a thousand pieces of kit, and hundreds of bikes.

With an HND in mechanical engineering and previous roles as a CNC programmer/machinist, draughtsman and development engineer (working in new product design) Stu understands what it takes to bring a product to market. A mix of that knowledge combined with his love of road and gravel cycling puts him in the ideal position to put the latest kit through its paces.

He first made the switch to road cycling in 1999, primarily for fitness, but it didn’t take long for his competitive side to take over which led to around ten years as a time triallist and some pretty decent results. These days though riding is more about escapism, keeping the weight off and just enjoying the fact that he gets to ride the latest technology as part of his day job.
