A cyclist has died following a collision with a taxi in Peterborough in the small hours of this morning.

Peterborough Telegraph reports that Nina Deasley, 29, sustained fatal injuries in a collision with a London cab on Bourges Boulevard, just south of its roundabout with Bright Street, at about 12.50am, Thursday, April 23.

The driver, a 59-year-old man from Peterborough, was not arrested.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12.50am to a report of a woman who had been seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Bourges Boulevard.

“An ambulance crew, paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, and a response car from the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the scene.”

Anyone who saw the collision, or either vehicle involved just prior, should contact PC Martin Lobley at the collision investigation unit on 101.
