It had to happen didn’t it?
After all the stick I have given poor Greg Henderson, he had to produce a sprint finish to win yesterdays Paris-Nice stage.
I have been quick to knock ‘Hendo’ (as he is possibly known to his friends; so not me then!!) for his inability to fulfil the role of team leader in the 2010 Tour of Britain, surrendering to Michael Albasini.
I also managed to shoe horn a bit of criticism into the recent interview with Matt Rendell.
Now I have to hold my hands up and say I was wrong.
It takes a top class sprinter to win a stage of the ‘race to the sun’. You don’t just get them given.
So well done Greg, am happy to clarify I was wrong.
(PS Thomas De Gendt is doing ok… he was my long term tip for the 2012 Ronde regular readers will remember)
