Tonight I cycled home with a neighbour, as she got to her bike she discovered that another cyclist had locked her bike with his own lock and had gone off shopping!
The strangest thing is that he totally failed to lock his own bike!
Random. Luckily the cyclist returned quickly and unlocked my friends bike without so much of an apology.
Very odd.

Lucky – this is a common
Lucky – this is a common technique used by bike theives.
They lock a crappy old bike to yours, preventing you from removing your bike, forcing you to leave it locked up overnight.
At which point they come along cut your lock with no one around to see them…..
yeah, that happened to me
yeah, that happened to me once – it was just before i was off to south america and it was my expedition bike that they targeted. I had to call a locksmith out to cut the lock off, cost me £50 but at least I didn’t lose my bike…
That happened to me outside
That happened to me outside the Town Hall in Shoreditch. I ended up having to leave my bike there overnight X( Luckily it was still there the next day. I’d seen the bike locked up there before so I guessed it was just an honest (if not massively annoying) mistake.
