What time do you tend to get up for your weekend ride? Are you one of those who’s wide awake at the crack of dawn, and in the saddle as the sun peeks over the horizon, or do you prefer an afternoon or evening jaunt?

There’s absolutely no right or wrong answer here. You know we’re not picky here at road.cc, we’re riders of all shapes and sizes ourselves, and our preferences when it comes to weekend rides ranges from the early morning ride-out, to the after dinner burner.

Over the last few weeks there have been some bonuses to starting your ride in tandem with the sunrise that make up for the dastardly early start – not least the stunning sunrise itself.

Sure, the ground might still be frozen from the overnight frost, or snow might be falling because the temperature hasn’t started to peek over zero yet. But, getting your ride done and dusted before everyone else has started their day is good for the soul, don’t you think?

Of course, some of you prefer a lie-in. And you’re not alone. Here at road.cc most of us spend every morning in the saddle. Leaving the house early to get to work on time means that there’s little in the way of novelty when Saturday rolls around and you find yourself rising to the same alarm you’ve been waking up to all week.

There’s nothing wrong with a gentle afternoon club ride, or an after dinner dusk run. Do what suits you, that’s what we think.
