Cracking video (below) from French Prankster Remi Gaillard, this. The infamous joker set up a full size mountain finish on a French Col, complete with fans, film crews, a 2CV support car, motorbike outriders and a man in his underpants, then filmed the reactions of sunday cyclists as they were mobbed by the adoring crowd at the summit. Reactions were, shall we say, mixed. One guy gets right into the spirit of things, telling the interviewer that "the mountain was very steep" while holding the winner’s cup and wearing a viking helmet. Another chap is more bemused: "I’m not part of your race", he repeats to the oblivious crowd. Excellent stuff.

@Velo-drone I hold no brief for the UCI, but I believe their statement came out before the news broke that Finlay was hit by a driver. They presumably were guided by the race organisation's initial statement which also described his death as "a serious accident" with no mention of a car being involved and so had no reason to think it was anything but a racing incident (or accident).
@boblo This! Also the 'it’s a lot more relaxed than its policy suggests.' is worrying. It sounds like 'we will decide arbitrarily based on the mood of our customer service rep'. If they claim something is their policy, why not say it - like - literally in the policy?
Depends on your frame of reference. The Earth's rotational speed at that latitude is about 600 mph, it's orbital speed is about 67,000 mph, and the speed around the centre of the galaxy is about 514,000 mph - those could be considered quite fast-moving.
Don't worry. Crank makers will make sure you need to buy a new standard soon!
".....a fast-moving 13-mile-long A-road....." No. Unless there is a continuous land slip, the road isn't moving. Problem: drivers going too fast to avoid cyclists. Solution: ban cyclists. Again No. The proper solution is a speed limit on the road, but then the Isle of Man would lose the money they get from car-mad, speed-addicted idiots pretending that they are racing drivers. Frankly, it's a disgrace that the IoM puts money above the lives of vulnerable road users, and would undoubtedly blame the cyclist for their own death. Any clever legal types out there who could prosecute them under Human Rights or something?
'during the product’s intended useful life' Oh dear, and it was all going so well. I recall lifetime warranties being diluted to 'reasonable lifetime of the product' on outdoor gear - once the true costs of continued support became clear. This plus 'must be serviced annually by a pro but never mind at the moment' makes me very dubious as to the long term support being offered. I wouldn't buy one of these expecting to invoke the warranty...
Does it come in an internal thread-together version for pressfit BB’s, like Token and Wheels MFG?
I have an Enduro ceramic bottom bracket which replaced a Praxis bottom bracket who's bearings were made by of cheese. It has been faultless despite being treated every bit as badly as any other bottom bracket I've abused over the years. Yes their stuff is expensive but it really is fit'n'forget. Which is of course the entirely point.
@60kg lean keen climbing machine they aren't really that much more. I just completed a le col Strava challenge, got a £50 off voucher, and found I can buy two pairs of these for £158, so £79 a pop. I haven't tried these hors category bib shorts but have a pair of the pro ones - thought they were ok to be fair. I usually buy castelli bibs just because I like the pad the most, but I need a size medium in castelli rather than an S in le col.
I admire your logic ... and your optimism
