Hot off the heels of the launch of the Resolve dropper post, Wolf Tooth has now added the Waveform pedals to its portfolio of components. These pedals benefit from the brand’s drive to create cutting-edge products and are proportionally scaled to best suit all foot sizes.

With the aim of cradling the foot, the Waveform pedals are made with a dual-concave 6061-T6 aluminium body that the foot sits in. The pedal then gets 11 pins to offer a locked-in grip and there’s also a large tapered leading edge that’s designed to deflect pedal strikes and as mentioned before, there are two sizes of pedal available to provide the most support possible for your foot size.

To create that concave shape, the pedal measures 14mm thick at the perimeter edges which tapers down to 12mm at the centre. That thickness is around the whole pedal too, not just at the front and rear of the platform.

As for those sizes, the small pedal is 105mm x 99mm and is claimed to weigh 373g per pair while the large is 112mm x 106mm and tips the scales at 384g per pair.

Wolf Tooth says that a feature of these pedals is their consistent and reliable performance. As such, the Waveform spins on a stainless steel axle with three bearings and an igus bushing. It’s sealed on both ends to keep the internals free of dirt.

As with many of the brand’s products, a full range of replacement parts is available for the Waveform pedals. Whether that’s pedal bodies, axles, or bearings, they can all be picked up aftermarket, making the pedals last even longer. There are also video guides available so servicing can easily be done at home.

The Wolf Tooth Components Waveform pedals are priced at £195 and they come in four colours: black, orange, blue, and ultraviolet purple.
