Last year Specialized refined the Tactic and launched the Gambit full face enduro helmet. For 2022, the brand is continuing the theme by updating the much-loved Ambush and bolstering the helmet range with the budget-friendly Camber. Here’s everything you need to know.

An update to the Ambush has been a long time coming and for 2022, it’s here. It’s been completely redesigned from the inside out, says Spesh, with modern styling, fresh features, and eyewear integration.

Through the use of strategically optimised dual-density EPS foam, MIPS SL, and ANGI capability the Ambush 2 has earned a Five Star Virginia Tech Helmet Rating. Then thanks to hidden rubber laps, the updated lid can now make a home for sunglasses under its integrated visor.

The last iteration of the Ambush was praised for its impressive ventilation and Specialized has put a special focus on airflow with the helmet’s update. The Ambush 2 is built with deep interior channels which works with the fixed visor to generate airflow.

The Ambush isn’t all that’s new with Specialized’s helmet range as the brand has now added the Camber. With the Camber, the brand set out to capture the mindset of joyrides. It comes equipped with MIPS and it’s ANGI ready. Just like the new Ambush 2, the Camber also earns a Five Star Virginia Tech Helmet Rating.

This helmet is kitted with a fixed integrated visor, an adjustable Tr-Fix web splitter, and a design that allows for increased airflow says Specialized.
