Ready to mix with the highest echelons of the sport is Canyon’s updated Lux and Exceed cross country bikes. For 2022, both bikes see in a range of component updates along with some racey new colourways.

Starting off with the Lux, it’s the full suspension XC bike here that runs 100mm of travel at both ends. It’s built around the same race-winning platform as the 2019 model but it gets weigh saving flex stays and a super-efficient suspension kinematic. For 2022, Canyon has focussed on updating the component sets for all-out performance.

All bikes in the range get rigid seatposts to save all of the weight and all Lux CF SLX models get handlebar-mounted suspension lockouts.

There are four models in the new Lux range starting off with the Lux CF 6, an ideal starting point for any budding racer. It sees Shimano SLX 12-speed shifting Fox Step Cast Performance suspension and DT Swiss XR1900 wheels. Then topping the range is the Lux CF SLX LTD, rocking a RockShox SID SL Ultimate fork with a SID Deluxe Ultimate shock. Then there’s SRAM’s top-of-the-range XX1 Eagle AXS groupset.

Moving onto the Exceed, it’s the XC hardtail here and for 2022 it comes with a new range of builds and three grades of carbon making up the frame with three of the models being graced with replica team colourways.
