After a little dry spell of bikes (Corona related) we’ve got test bikes coming in through the doors of off-road.cc HQ and there are some great ones too! This week is the turn of the new Nukeproof Mega V4 to grace your screens, with more new bikes that we can’t tell you about (yet) coming soon…… Dig in, to the five best things on test.

Nukeproof Mega Comp 290
£2,700

Just last week Nukeproof unveiled the new 2021 Mega V4. The brand has delved into its history with the new carbon and alloy frames carrying a number of nods towards previous iterations. For 2021, the Mega gets more waterbottle space, a saddle offset based geometry, and an improved suspension platform. We’ve got the base spec 29er in on test which gets an allow frame, a Rockshox Yari, a Super Deluxe Select R shock and Shimano Deore 12 speed. We’ll get a review up on that one shortly.

Topeak Mini Dual pump
£14

Dubbed as a powerful mini pump, the Mini Dual from Topeak also won’t break the bank at £14. It pumps up to 120PSI and fits Presta and Schrader valves. It looks like a no nonsense pump which will be safe in the hands of our tester Liam who has pumped a few pumps in his time…. to see his favourites, head here to our ‘best of guide’.

Topeak Pocketshock DXG pump
£36

Bike testing calls for a robust shock pump so we got our hands on the Pocketshock DXG. It’s not super small but it will fit in most bumbags and it has an air release button which makes setting proper pressure easy, plus a system which eliminates air loss when disconnecting,
