Cobble Wobble hill climb returns to Frome this September

Somerset town hosts event for second year

Next month sees the Somerset town of Frome host the second annual Cobble Wobble, with the winner set to be crowned the Charge Bikes King of the Cobbles.

Last year’s inaugural event,  won by Neil Cousins, formed part of the Velo Jam celebrations held the evening before the town hosted the start of Stage 6 of the Tour of Britain.

This year, the hill climb sprint on Catherine Hill in the centre of the town is back as a standalone event, and is once again organised by local MTB club Black Canon Collective supported by Red Bull, Frome Town Council and  local company Charge Bikes, which 12 months ago provided a Charge Plug Freestyler as first prize in a separate longest trackstand competition.

You can sign up for email updates on the Cobble Wobble website, and on the day itself a beer of the same name, launched last year by the Milk Street Brewery, based in the town's Griffin pub, will be available locally.
