#mycyclingweekend: What makes your bike special?

We’re all proud of our bikes, right? We keep them clean and healthy, maybe once in a while we’ll treat them to an upgrade, or a little bit of beauty therapy.

We’ll proudly climb into their saddles every day, show them off to our friends and family, take photos of them and share them with the world; but when push comes to shove, can you work out what it is that makes your bike special?

What’s the one thing about your bike that makes it special to you?

This #mycyclingweekend, we want you to take a moment, maybe sat quietly staring at your bike, or in determined contemplation mid-ride to really work out what it is that you love most about your bike.

Is it a custom bit of kit? Maybe a personalised paint job, or your fixie’s pair of homemade bullhorn handlebars?

Perhaps the bike itself holds such sentimental value that you can’t distinguish one bit from another, just like how you’d struggle to choose the favourite part of your child.

Whatever it might be, we want you to share your thoughts with us. Simply send us a photo on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, with the #mycyclingweekend hashtag, and we’ll collect our favourites on Monday.

Whoever gives us the best, most individual, or most incredible reason that their bike is special, will win a pair of road.cc socks and a BTwin 300 Multi Tool from Decathlon.
