Ineos Grenadiers have confirmed a new five-year co-title partnership with AI tech firm Netcompany, the team’s name to change to Netcompany Ineos Cycling Team from the start of the Giro d’Italia.
The riders will also be in a new kit and colours from the beginning of the opening Grand Tour of the season next month, the announcement confirmation of the investment reportedly worth £100m which has secured the next chapter in the future of the British cycling team, formerly known as Team Sky and more recently Team Ineos and the Ineos Grenadiers.
It means chemical giant Ineos’s 4×4 Grenadier car will no longer be promoted in the name of the cycling team, Danish AI tech firm Netcompany coming onboard as co-title sponsors.
In this morning’s announcement, the team called Netcompany “one of Europe’s most ambitious technology companies” and predicted the partnership would be “one of the most significant technological and commercial partnerships in professional cycling”.
The partnership will also see Netcompany’s AI-driven digital data platform Pulse, which has been deployed at Munich and Heathrow Airports, tested in an elite sporting environment for the first time.

According to Netcompany, Pulse “turns raw operational data and predictions into safe, auditable actions across your ecosystem”, its data collection, analysis and insights now set to be integrated into the pro cycling team’s set-up.
Ineos explained Pulse “will be embedded across the team, the individual riders and the races enabling real-time collaborative decision-making by distilling multiple inputs into a unified data source to maximise performance impact”. As part of the five-year partnership, Ineos have secured Pulse licenses for the entire period.
This morning’s announcement also cites Dave Brailsford as the Team Principal, official confirmation of his role within the cycling team.
Brailsford’s return to the Ineos fold since last summer’s Tour de France has not exactly been a secret — in fact, team CEO John Allert called his involvement “old news” when we asked back in November — however, this appears to be confirmation that Brailsford is back as Team Principal alongside his wider role of Director of Sport at Ineos.
Commenting on the Netcompany partnership, Brailsford said: “This is one of the most significant partnerships in cycling — a real vote of confidence not only in our team, but in the sport itself. It’s a major moment for us and marks the beginning of a new chapter.
“Our sport is a human endeavour, where decisions in training, racing and recovery make the difference every day. We have no shortage of data — the real challenge is turning it into simple, practical actions and delivering them consistently.
“With Netcompany, we can do that better. Pulse allows us to orchestrate our data into clear insights that support faster, better decisions when it matters most. This is more than a sponsorship it’s a partnership with purpose. It brings long-term stability, giving us the platform to invest in performance over time — building the foundations to win, and keep winning. Ultimately, it’s about creating the conditions to win the Tour de France.”
André Rogaczewski, CEO and Co-founder of Netcompany, added: “As a leading European AI technology company fighting for Europe’s digital sovereignty, joining forces with the most successful cycling team of the modern era and the UK’s only WorldTour team is a unique opportunity.
“This partnership supports our strategic ambition to accelerate growth across Europe by demonstrating the impact of cutting-edge technology and AI at the highest level of sport. Together, we aim to enable smarter decision-making, strengthen competitive advantage, and help the team in winning the Tour de France again.”
Ineos CEO and chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe said he hoped the partnership would “help create the right conditions to deliver more success”.

So a company that’s destroying the planet has teamed up with a company working in the field that could destroy civilisation, not sure I’ll be buying the shirt.
Even if it leads to more squirrels? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5y9wen5z8ro
