@wtjs - there's a world of difference between incompetence/laziness which have been alive and well since Gilgamesh was a young lad which seems to be your beef (based on well founded person experience) and the utter tosh of asserting the existence of 'two-tier-justice'. If two-tier justice does exist it is something that benefits the wealthy, the powerful and the influential.
Bloody site! It removed: ...responsibility for (insert offence here)
@jaymack Nope - it really IS The Filth and their endless collection of Dodges designed to absolve themselves of responsibility for . Ms Moran MP will soon find that whenever any Dodge is proved to be fallacious, they have another instantly ready to deploy.
@jackcycles - nope, 'tis nothing to do with a mythical "two-tier judicial system" and everything to do with 14 years of austerity leaving the nation's institutions and infrastructure on life support. But keep blaming the Unicorns if you wish they'll do nothing to help
"There was a bit of disagreement and a language barrier, but it also happened in the heat of the moment,” when Denk thinks readers are dicks. Remco was pissed off big time for good reasons. The man needs to attend Trump's communication crisis sessions where one learn that a humiliating military defeat can be turned into a media resounding victory.
@chrisonabike ...and Dublin City Council also using the incorrect language that the BBC are fond of, talking about "people using quite large and powerful e-bikes" when they mean illegal electric motorbikes. Doesn't surprise me that DCC can't get that right, they're one of the worst local authorities in Ireland for transport solutions (which is really saying something), and were a not-insignificant proportion of the reason that I moved out of Dublin a few years ago.
God I know. You can't even urge people to set fire to hostels housing asylum seekers these days without fear of arrest. What is the world coming to?
This isn't a cycling story, but a police story and law and order story. It doesn't matter what you report these days, whether it's a stolen bike, car, or even a burglary, the police aren't interested and just give you a crime reference number for insurance. Excuses will follow if you provide them with evidence and insight. This is an unfortunate side effect of living in a two-tier justice system, where wrong-speech is prosecuted with severe consequences (Lucy Connolly) but other crimes such as this are ignored due to misplaced priorities.
@ChasP I suggested a while ago - it was at the time of the big crash in the Giro when Adam Yates clearly shouldn't have been allowed back on his bike, another one where as a TV viewer I could clearly see he was concussed but apparently the medics could only work that out the next day - that in order to have full comprehensive concussion checks without time pressure and without the rider panicking and trying to force the medics to hurry, any rider delayed by having to undergo concussion testing should be allowed to get a free sticky bottle ride from his team car or the commissaires back to the group they were in when they crashed.
@Rezis Definitely, they should be able to get it instantly as doctors in rugby now can with the players' mouthguards, that would be a significant improvement.

So having a crafty look at
So having a crafty look at your smartphone whilst in stationary traffic gets you a worse penalty than actually driving into a cyclist and then effectively run them off the road? Wow…
If you read the article, it seems the magistrate also said that its understandable that he drove dangerously given the offences of the cyclists. Interesting precedent…
is it me or does Sagan’s
is it me or does Sagan’s tatoo look like his chin is resting on something that he is preparing to nosh down on….
