You might want to find extra to upgrade the wheels though – Record EPS with Fulcrum Racing 5’s seems a bit skewed.November 29, 2012 at 1:01 pm in reply to: Gkam84 needs a trike to ride and help him deal with early Parkinson’s – he’s 28 FFS #706891notfastenough

Used to really enjoy BTCC. Aiello, Leslie in the Nissans, and Rikard Rydell in the Volvo, with Matt Neil gatecrashing as a privateer.
I met Paul O’Neil a couple of times through a mutual friend. We got to go to the end-of-season party at Donington Park (think this was in 2003 or 2004 – he was driving a Vauxhall Astra works car). Rumours were already flying that Paul wasn’t getting a contract for the following season, he got leathered and somehow his undies ended up hanging off a power cable that was strung overhead while he was still wearing trousers…

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
Hi, and welcome to the forum. I don’t have a Merlin (I lusted after the ti ones as a kid!) but there are a lot of deals about at the moment as 2012 stock is cleared out. If one shop doesn’t want your cash, many others will. Also, although you aren’t new to cycling, if you are new to road bikes (and hence a different geometry to the mountain bike(s) or whatever that you currently ride) I think you would be wise to use a shop you can visit and try a few bikes.

I seem to recall Chris Boardman used to favour TT bikes that were a bit small for him, he sometimes used MTB seatposts because they extended higher before reaching the limit.notfastenough

The driver was turning right out of the road i was waiting to turn in to.
The junction was more of a Y than a t, so the driver should have widened his turning circle to go past me… but instead decided to go through me.
That he was driving a BMW came as no surprise to me.Blimey, I thought you were going to say that you were on a corner with your back wheel sticking out into the side road, which would at least have had a ‘two sides to every story’ ring to it. I disagree that he should have gone wider – he shouldn’t have gone at all. If you had been in a car he wouldn’t.

Hmm, tough question. A brand new SL3 with Ultegra and DT Axis 3.0 wheels is in the sales for £2.7k, yours probably has circa £1k more value as a shop bike, but of course technically it’s 2nd hand (I know, I know, but what can you do?). Ask for 3k and settle for 2.8? -
