Trying to, although the rubbish internet link at work is making it stutter. First impressions are very good, although behind the hoody, beard, specs and beanie, you seem as if you’re hiding a little. I appreciate that may actually be the case (recording yourself is nerve-racking), and I hope you don’t mind me being honest. That said, all four of those things often describe my appearance as well and I’m fairly confident, so I may be talking utter nonsense – actually, maybe it’s because you’re sat back, almost ‘inside’ the hoody. But anyway, I’m nitpicking, it looks good for the bits I’ve seen.On the wider issue, I’m thinking you probably just need to ebay the majority of the items you have. Maybe have a couple just for road.cc or whatever, but this place probably doesn’t have the traffic to, for example, drive up the price of the Dani King first day cover. You’re at £1100 now, it wouldn’t surprise me if you were able to generate the same again from the auction items. If that 2nd hand trike turns out to be right for you, all the better.

Obviously on a track there are issues with knowing who’s in front, who’s lapped who etc. Maybe they need a display integrated into the jersey/shorts that uses colours etc to illustrate this?(All the purists have just booked my assasination in with the local hitman…)

Christ, that’s a biggie. No idea. This sounds really trivial, but do you think that going recumbent might cause you to lose interest in two-wheeled cycling and, by extension, pro cycling?

This thread is brilliant.
This thread is brilliant. Lion King and Eagle Muppet currently the best, although the OP is actually correct that Froome looks a bit like a cheater. Maybe it’s the freckles/spots!notfastenough

Tough one. A guy on the club run has just gone through the same thing and opted for mech DA since it is so well-proven and either are beyond his capabilities anyway. It did spark a discussion as to what level of bling is acceptable on club rides!I believe the cable tensioning is automatically set on di2, and the auto-trim is ace. If you’re mechanically useless, di may be better, but if you like tinkering, probably dura-ace.

You talk about your depression and lack of confidence, but Raleighs right, the candor with which you discuss those things on here is to be respected. Go back and read that long thread on depression (from maybe a year ago?), I was new here and that was a bit of an eye-opener. It suggested that people here, yourself among them, were as friendly, honest and intelligent as a virtual community could be expected to be.I’ve tried recording my own voice and thought it sounded as odd as a lemonade sandwich, but that would apply to any of us.
Go for it!
