    I loved SwissStop Greens,

I loved SwissStop Greens, until I discovered KoolStop Salmons, soft and great in the wet, they disappear quite quickly, but they generally cheaper than than the SwissStops, and better to use up the pads than the rims.

Getting the contact point right on the levers make a lot of difference, especially if you can adjust the levers too.  You want the most force where your hands are closer to the bars (or I do anyway), not so close that the lever is touching the bars or crushing your lower fingers.  A streched hand getting to the bite might seem right, but your hands have less strength there, and can make your hands more tired.

A friend of the driver apparently believes it could happen to anyone…?

I always wondered why the very weird Lynchian version was never released on multiple director’s cut.

I read all of the books during my first period of unemployment, from the library.  I thought they went downhill a bit after the first few.

My commute takes me between towns and villages.

I do far more miles as a utility cyclist than a recreational one.

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions.

    Only a years ban.

He drove in this manner with  his children in the car.

I do not drive, but I would ask the drivers, why is it that for some drivers the first reaction seems not to be slow down, pull over and sort things out?

Why is it that progress must always be made?

I’m trying to move, so I can

I’m trying to move, so I can miss out the train journey to work, and the supermarket will no longer be easily walkable.  I’m properly thinking of a bicycle trailer, now I’m probably going for a shockinly expensive one, but there are some bargains out there.

I was impressed at the cost, if not left wondering of the quality, of those on offer at Manomano.

I pity them in the way they

I pity them in the way they are insulated from the world, that it all about getting to the destination (often as seemingly fast but not, as possible) rather than the journey, and at the moment the lack of birdsong and the smell of spring.

Drop them down your nose a bit.

    Same when wearing a mask.

Mine might mist up a bit when stopped, I leave a little more of a gap to the eyes which helps, but they clear quickly when I start moving.

The foggyness and mistiness if it’s one of theose mornings will gradually get on the glasses, regular stopping and an Oakley bag in the pocket for a good wipe and then clear vision for a moment or two.

Thanks Dave, I’m convinced that the bridge wasn’t wearing enough Hi Viz.

And I also find it strange that the policeman would think that the church’s insurance would even think about paying for repairs to the wall.  Seems to me that the driver of the motor vehicle may be somewhat responsible there.

I have been waiting since August on a warranty replacement on my Surly Ogre.

How do you find the plier

How do you find the plier function, their standard pliers (in silver…) are on my “to get” list?

My workshop Park pliers are only for removal and I carry multiple spare master links and worry that if needed I might not be able to remove the one on the chain when REALLY needed.
