    Or that any form of

Or that any form of enforcement of the law in relating to illegal speeding, with the siting of speed cameras, can only be considered with multiple incidents involving fatalities.

Can you imagine the outcry if aviation or rail approached illegal behaviour in this manner, that there MUST be multiple cases of deaths before even enforcement was thought about, at one location at that.

    Antiseptic spay is good.

Antiseptic spray is good.  You don’t have to touch anything.

Whenever I have covered road rash, it tends to seep and stick on the dressing.

It will dry out if left to the air.

Perhaps shorts for a couple of days, with jumpers and big thick socks.

    Mate, my sympathies, I

Mate, my sympathies, I unfortunately broke my Ultimate Commuter back in August.  Surly Ogre, a steel frame that was meant to get me to retirement.  It would seem that a weld went at non drive chainstay at the rear dropout.  I wasn’t riding hard, easy going bridleway.  Luckily I still had 10 days left on the warrenty.  I had only been riding it for almost a year and a half, my fault for not treating the inside of the frame quick enough and for odd choices on the Rohloff.

I was initially told November, when that came and went there was No expected date.  It meant I had to spend hundreds bringing back my Getting to Work Bike ready for the expected upcoming filthy winter.  She had been retired, the frame will be 30 this year.  I am now coming up with difficulties obtaining weird parts from the European mega sites that were easy last year.

World Wide Bike Boom.  The pandemic has made people want bicycles.  Allied to that problems shipping from the far east.  And various factory lockdowns.  Went to Halfords yesterday, needed some reflective Slap Wraps, they actually had a few bikes for sale,  My LBS mechanics were still rushed off their feet over my Crimbo hols, and they have been since March.

    Good Luck.

Or if only the officer of the law hadn’t overeached his powers and hadn’t acted like a jumped up bully boy then he wouldn’t be facing any form of disaplinary procedure.  Do you know how hard it is for a police authority to say that one of their officers had done something wrong?

With the admission from the WMP the victim here could potentially sue the police.  And for me, I reckon that this officer should be prosecuted for wasting police time, his and his partners.

I have heard that bringing a steel bike inside a nice centrally heated home can cause internal rust because condenstion forms on the inside.

There are specialist aerosol Frame Protector products out there.  You squirt it in all the holes and slosh the waxy paintish stuff around.

J P Weigly was the one, but the brand was sold.

My better half got me some POC Thermal gloves for Crimbo, I believe on the pricey side, good for around the 0 mark.  Bit too warm for the 5 and up.  I was impressed at the warmth for the lack of bulk.  Label said hand wash only, and I do not know how well they will respond to light machine washing so cannot comment on that yet.  Thin leather palm, with insulation behind.

She has gotton quite good cycling gift wise…

I have never seen a ground anchor that that put it’s loop under the concrete, looks proper effective and only to be installed during construction.

Glad to hear you are doing well.

Making Covid antibodies at work at the moment, commuting with a very muddy ride.

My previous “lockdown” hour ride started the off road bit at Bugs Bottom, site of a stabbed and murdered teenager at the weekend, such a nice little park too…

It’s not about “speeding”, though we know how often speed limits are actually observed, but going too fast for the conditions and to be able to stop in time when seeing an obstruction, in this case 4 ponies.

They showed the carnage caused by the “accident” on South Today, I think it was to show the public the actual 4 dead ponies, very rare that, maybe the motorists might slow down a bit, or really look where they are going.

Don’t worry though, the good poeple of the New Forest will be blaming cyclists for all of their ills in a bit…
