You won’t get an agonistic
You won’t get an agonistic certificate from a GP. You need a sports physician to give you that. It is basically a medical to say you are fit for the sport you wish to do.For some reason, most events in Italy require it because of their insurance. It is normally for running and triathlons. I’d have a search for local sports physicians, but I’ve no idea of cost.
You can take a short cut if you think you won’t pass, pay £65 and do it online :)) http://www.cyclosportmedicalcertificates.co.uk/en/

Skate style shoes normally
Skate style shoes normally have quite stiff soles, as long as you are only using them on the bike. The minute you start bending down and the toes start to bend the stiffness goes (if that makes sense)They are fine for mucking about on all types of bike. I’m not sure about racing them as I’ve never raced with the skate style shoes on, but have done sportives in the past with no issues.

Need to be there EARLY as once it fills up, that is it for the day. It is free though and there is a big screen.Have a look at this old post http://road.cc/content/forum/53764-paris-roubaix
Also Simon’s write up http://road.cc/content/feature/34426-hot-hell-we-follow-paris-roubaix-team-sky-and-ig-markets-picturesYou could do it all on an organised tour, less freedom, but best places to watch and no driving http://www.thechainstay.com/cycling-tours-in-belgium/spring-classics/paris-roubaix-day-trip/

While he stands firm and
While he stands firm and denies everything he was found guilty of, there is no place for him anywhere in football. If he had be humble and accepted what he did, then he needs to start again and rebuild his career, not a Sheffield though, he needs to start again at the lower leagues and work back up. Not straight into a bigger club and huge wages.
If he appeals and is successfully (highly doubt it) then he can be free to do what he wants at the moment, but for me, at this time, he shouldn’t even be training with the club that sacked him, just because the PFA wanted that. Look at the shitstorm it has caused, Sheffield have lost patrons, sponsors and will lose more if they take him back on.

Can you not just stick in
Can you not just stick in another powerlink to replace the broken one? There is no issue with having multiple powerlinks in a chain. Infact, you could make a whole chain from powerlinks and it would work fine

I can’t find them under about £4 these days so patching is highly viable… I must be missing a trick!
Planet X is the place to go for cheap tubes. http://www.planetx.co.uk/c/q/wheels/tyres-and-tubes/inner-tubes
I get mine through trade and retail them at £5 including fitting because most people bring their bike in and leave it to get things done in my workshop

I wouldn’t put WD40 anywhere
I wouldn’t put WD40 anywhere on my bike. I use TF2 for that. When I whip my chain off to clean it, I get a bucket with watered down muc off in warm water and give it a few minutes soaking and then giving it a good shake up.
Then the tooth brush comes out. Hang it on the washing line to air dry. Spray it with TF2, let it drip dry. Stick it on the bike and give it a good lube up.
