No worries Dave, it wasn’t a dig at the way your doing things, i think its a great opportunity as i’ve never seen a fantasy cycling league before

I just wondered if i was missing something because i couldn’t see him listed anywhere else

Thanks for replying so fast though

Christ…calm down a bit lads! You’re not paying for this service, and Dave and Tony have apologised and said they’re working on fixing the problem. What more do you want? A pound of flesh?

I’d much prefer to donate a pound or two of flesh, get me to a decent weight earlier than i thought, lol

But well said, we dont pay for the game, i think i might have sparked panic by saying my team was down a few riders, i just wanted to alert Dave and Tony, not send the forums into melt down with people panicking

Nice work Dave, all back to normal, think i’m missing 4 credits, by i aint gonna cry over that, just time to work out who i want in my team because i’m so split on Cav’s chances of finishing high in the gc

    Thanks for that Simon
    I just

    Thanks for that Simon

I just couldn’t find any stats on it, I know there are not really any climbs and hills in the PR, I just have a feeling HTC might be able to keep Cav safe and in a decent placing if it doesn’t split to much at the front then anyone could have a chance, just seems he’s coming back into some sort of form after a dreadful start to his session

The PR is only 258km this
The PR is only 258km this year and Cav won last week at a 200km race, so not to bad, i think if he can hold in on the climbs he has a good chance

Awesome sprinter, just lacking in his hill ability, but hey, you cant have everything

So i think he’s in with a chance unless Boonen or Cancellara blow the field to bits.

Its a shame the schlecks and voigt are doing the basque, else i would put all my money on Team Leopard

just dont make any changes cause it could screw u up more in the end

    Mine now says “Your team
Mine now says “Your team isn’t complete. You need to complete your team. If you don’t have a full roster, your team won’t be entered into the next stage and you won’t score any points.”

    I lost Boonen,Chavanel and Cancellara :s

Hows that happened when i haven’t even made any changes yet?

I understand this, I’m not saying to limit or not to limit the deadline tho

I’m just saying, do go making it so easy by having a “reset” button, You should be free to choose when you want to change your team up until the deadline, either way you do it early or late then you have to stick by your decision’s and shouldn’t get a way out of your choice

If your going to put a reset for those who pick to early, they why not just put in a half race change where if your rider is way behind or crashed out, you can switch them

What i mean is, make it a level playing field like it is just now and dont go benefiting anyone

Firstly I’m not recommending that everyone actually make their changes on race day, I was trying to say that if you’re sad enough to do it then that should be your only option.

Every fantasy sport management game has deadlines and the danger that some of the players you choose won’t be picked by their real-life manager on the day.

What spoils the fun is when people want the game dummed-down to a level that’s convenient for them because they don’t have the time or inclination to play it properly. Let the rest of us get on with it and live with the fact that during this long season there will be weeks when you forget to change your team and there’ll be weeks when half your team go sick. You win some, you lose some.

Let’s not start awarding points to riders who don’t ride, otherwise we’ll all have the same cheap domestics for the rest of the season.

Have to agree with this, if you dont have time then make the changes you want and stick with it

I dont have huge amounts of time because i’m a very busy person just now, but i make changes when i can or leave it to the last min if i can fit it in on many other fantasy things

But if you do it on a monday and someone pulls out just before the race, well thats life as with any sport, look at last night with Spurs, Lennon pulled out minutes before kick off

Do go changing to much with the game, there could be a couple of things tweaked and sorted before the grand tours begin, but dont make it easy for us

I think Chavanel could i rode
I think Chavanel could i rode away from Cancellara at points if he had not been waiting for Boonen to catch up, i think Quickstep make a tactical mistake

Should have just told Chavanel to go for it, even in the home straight he was still looking behind for Boonen to get on his wheel

I was all excited for Chavenel to win until i noticed it was Sylviain and not Seb i had in my line up 🙁

Speaking of in-car video, did anyone else notice the Lotto DS telling the Leopard DS that Chavanel couldn’t help beacuse Cancellara was just too strong, but a bit later on he was talking to Chavanel, leaning out of the window pointing at Cancellara’s wheel and obviously saying stay on it and don’t ride?

I wonder how those cameras will affect relations between Directors Sportif.

I did see that, but if it was the other way round it would just be the same, all part of the games you play when racing

Oh yeah, i got myself confused there aswell :B

Yeah with their stance just now it doesn’t look likely, but they should still put the camera’s in the car and let us see

Specially after the “sticky bottle” i saw where the driver was struggling to hold onto the rider as high speed
