Stogursey speed indicator device written-off as car hits it on first use
A NEWLY-bought speed indicator device (SID) and its post in Claylands Corner, Stogursey, has been destroyed after a car crashed into it the first time it was used.
Parish councillors were told matters became even worse when within two days a second post in Idson Lane which was to have been used for the SID ‘disappeared without trace.’

No actual drivers on another cycle parking story, but the kicker for me on this one is that the man causing all the issues is himself a district councillor. The “door” is long disused and he wants to bring it back into use. The town council hasn’t been quick enough for him about moving the cycle rack, so he’s DIY-ed it (picture). The council have responded in kind and put it back – across the “door”.

Totton residents oppose e-bike location plans near homes
The junction itself has also been labelled as hazardous, with Alison describing it as a “very blind bend” where drivers often struggle to stay on the correct side of the road.
“There is not a day that goes by that you don’t hear screeching or beeping because two cars nearly collided with each other here.”

Amos says atom bombs saved
Amos says atom bombs saved lives and VJ Day ‘not racist’
A minor character in the Reform movement, he seems to have moved from Labour in Tower Hamlets LBC, to Worcester Conservatives and then to Reform.
As always, he can’t quantify who “they” are that believe VJ Day to be racist.
Anyway, it was the AIrcraft (DYSWIDT?) shown in his flag that ticked me. I’m no expert, but this small boy did enough Airfix kits to know that there’s no Spitfire with a bomb bay – but don’t let facts, accuracy or detail get in the way of your nonsense.
Somewhere downthread is charted the Reform shift from “only the Union Jack ever to be flown at the council” to “oh yeah, and other flags we deem to be patriotic, oh county/regional flags are ok too”
