British brand Identiti showed a custom painted Initial-D bike at the Cycle Show last week, a special edition one-off bike that is currently being auctioned for Michael Bonney’s ‘Ride for Michael’ charity.

Michael Bonney is a cycling industry veteran, best known as Managing Director at Orange Bikes. Three years ago he suffered a life-changing trauma following a crash in a sportive, leaving him paralysed from the neck down. Bonney is now working with Identiti and has been involved in the development of the company’s brand new Mettle mountain bike, which was unveiled at the Cycle Show for the first time.

To mark the launch of this new bike, Identiti pulled out all the stops and produced a one-off Initial-D road bike in a matching purple paint job with yellow decals. The paint work was done by Flying Tiger Paintwork who spent hours masking and spraying the frameset. The frame has been built up with a Shimano 105 groupset with Halo Wheels and Gusset R-Series saddle. The Inital-D is a carbon fibre disc-equipped road bike built with an endurance geometry for comfort over long distances.

The auction for the limited edition bike has started at £950 and will run for another 5 days, so you’ve got plenty of time to take a look and maybe put a bid in. Check it out here.
