Chris Froome appears in official Israel video promoting cycling event to support Gaza hostages

Which is what they (the surrounding Arab countries until peace treaties were signed, and Hamas ever since their inception in1988) have been attempting to do since the State of Israel declared independance.

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

Funny how people a lot of whom descended from genocide survivors have dehumanised another people to such extent that they can now inflict genocide and how sad that our western governments are complicit in it! 

If the Israelis were waging genocide against the Palestinians and "Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group," then why has there been a population explosion among the Palestinians, caused by such a high birth rate?

There is little doubt that Israel has engaged in these actions. Whether this consitutes genocide is unrelated to Hamas' actions (i.e. there is no justification for genocide). Intent will be the crux of the South African government's forthcoming ICJ case. Central to that will be statements by Israeli government ministers, Knesset members and public officials publicly calling for the forcible 'transfer' of Gazans, the 'flattening' of this territory, and the 'elimination' of the Palestinian 'problem'.  Even our Foreign Secretary David Cameron is now questioning the legality of Israel's actions. 

The ICJ will make a judgement, but it would not have come to trial if the court did not believe there were plausible case.  That Chris Froome is happy to sportwash this rotten apartheid regime and its illegal occupation of Palestinian territory speaks volumes of his character.

Seems like a stretch that Hamas has this capability.   I dont recall the IRA being accused of genocide even though it ticks some of those boxes.

It is actually a genocide by the specific legal definition of genocide though.

The people and state of Palestine are being intentionally and openly eradicated over a course of decades: genocide.

Look at ther GAZA and West Bank population INCREASE chart in the last 32 years...I wonder how come Israel is commiting Genocide yet the population continues to grow so much? Your comment is totally wrong not to say Super Biased, I can assume where it comes from but I will leave it as is (not wotrh my time).
Oh, BTW, Bombing of dresden in WW2 by British Pilots and Hiroshima and Nagasaky by the US ,smells like genocide a little more than all the events of this 75 yesrs of conflict over the only place Jews can call home (surounded by 22 Arab states)...Go learn history facts before you comment.
