If you do want the latest and greatest from DJI, there’s a healthy discount on the new Action 5 too.

This is the standard bundle without the extra bits you get in the Adventure Combo, but if you already have a gimble then this is a great deal.

Get the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Standard Combo for just £249

Save a whopping 41% on the DJI Osmo Action 4 Essential 4k Camera, now just £165

Almost every YouTuber going can be seen with one of DJI’s distinctive fluffy speaker units clipped to themselves nowadays, and for very good reason – it’s easily the best mini mic we’ve ever come across, and the camera ain’t half bad either.

While the Action 5 did come out recently – receiving a 9/10 score from us – the fourth iteration comes with almost all of the bells and whistles, at way less than half the £405 price tag of the Action 5 with this Prime Day deal. We also called it one of, if not the best action camera available when we reviewed the Action 4, so you’re saving a lot but missing out on very little.

Cateye’s Viz rear light is easy to use and super bright in its 150 lumen guise, and it’s now down to just £16.49 for Prime Day.

It weighs just 27g, delivering a powerful blast of light in flash and pulse modes and a very bright beam to get you seen on steady. It’s also transparent, so there’s loads of side visibility too.

Get the Cateye Viz 150 for just £16.49, saving 45% off the RRP

We can’t ever remember energy gels being this cheap since they became a thing, so if you use them regularly for big rides then this is a stonking deal.

High5 claim its Aqua gels contain natural fruit juice, and there’s caffeinated or caffeine-free versions. The orange, berry caffeine and citrus caffeine are £13.19, and the caffeine-free berry is £13.29 for a box of 20. You can also save an extra 5% by buying four boxes.

Save a huge 53% on a box of 20 High5 Aqua gels

Tired of carting around a mini track pump the size of your arm? This clever little electric inflator from Airbank weighs just 93g, fits in a saddlebag or jersey pocket, and can inflate your road tyres up to 100psi — all without breaking a sweat (yours or the pump’s).

It’s fully rechargeable via USB-C, takes just 20 minutes to charge, and works with both Presta and Schrader valves. Airbank says it’s not designed for MTB or e-bike tyres, but for road bikes in need of a quick and accurate top-up, this is a handy bit of kit.

For post-ride pours and mid-week Merlots: 15% off this bicycle wine stopper

LKKCHER Cycling Wine Stopper

If you’re the kind of cyclist who likes to wind down after a ride (or who just wants to show off their aesthetically cohesive personality), this dark silver bicycle wine stopper is probably already in your basket. And if not, why not?

It’s made from sturdy zinc alloy, fits most wine and champagne bottles, and comes in a neat gift box for birthdays, or that friend who “used to race seriously” but now spends more time working through their cellar than their FTP.

Even if it is destined for VecchioJo’s next Don’t Buy Me This Christmas gift guide, this is probably on the more useful end of the scale when it comes to cycling giftware tat.

Only £11 for this bike-themed bottle stopper

Science in Sport’s Beta Fuel is a favourite of the pros. Packing 40g of carbs into a single gel you can see why, two of these and you’ll be set for an hour, although with the way pro cyclists fuel these days, they’ll probably be aiming for three at the Tour de France.

This Fizik saddle bag is down to £21.29 for Prime Day, a saving of around £4 on its retail price. It’s apparently got room for a spare inner tube, CO2 cartridge and inflator, tyre levers and a multi tool. As well as “maybe also some cash and an emergency gel”. Unfortunately it doesn’t come with cash and emergency gel included. For full transparency, Tweeks Cycles has this at £19.99 and Bikeparts.co.uk is selling it for £20.50, so if you can get some free delivery from them it will be cheaper to go there. With Prime’s free delivery, you might still be better of with Bezos, assuming you’re paying for delivery with other retailers.

It's time (again)... welcome to our July Prime Day live blog

Thankfully the days of physically fighting for TVs at the shops are mostly a thing of the past at big sales events; ironically because there seems to be so many of them nowadays that there’s little point, as there are bargains to be had year-round.

Take this July Prime Day, for example. It’s running for a whole three days this week, and there will be another one in October, and then Black Friday, and Cyber Monday etc etc… but if there’s a cycling thing you have your eye on and it’s cheaper during this Amazon sales event, you might as well take advantage.

As usual, we’ll only show you deals that we’re confident are the best around currently, and if The Bezos is telling fibs about any Prime Day deals being the best prices when you can actually find them cheaper elsewhere, we’ll point you to the better offer. We’ll keep adding deals over the three days, and round up our top deals of the day at the top of the page as more come through. You’ll need an Amazon Prime Membership to take advantage of the deals, but you can always just sign up for a free trial and sack it off afterwards if there’s just one or two things you’ve got your eye on.

Capiche? Let the capitalism commence!

      Agree 100%

No-one likes the fact that Amazon pays no UK tax, blocks unions and treats workers like utter scum. But sadly so many people are too lazy and selfish to change their buying habits.

The Viz 150 is a great rear light and currently £18 at Halfords. I would far rather give my money to them (or a bit more to my LBS).

        Exactly this

        Exactly this

From a safetly point of view, why would you want to support a company who pile the pressure on their drivers to the point that they drive dangeriously.

Or for a company happy to sell dangerous “e-bikes”

7,049 illegal bikes were confiscated by police in the UK between May 2025 and May 2026, with Labour MP Julie Minns warning that they are the “perfect accessory to phone theft, mugging, and drug dealing” while endangering pedestrians and drivers

Except that it doesn't say anything about fire risk, and unassisted bikes can just as easily be ridden in a dangerous manner (in which case, punish the offenders, not everyone else). They don't seem to have given any particular reason* for it, apart from a vague reference to changes in the law. If they'd said "There's a fire risk from dodgy ones and we don't have the capacity to check which are which" then people might not be so annoyed. As it is, it just gives the impression that they've made an arbitrary decision without much thought or reasoning at all. Tim, on the other hand, is just trouble, and deserves to have special measures taken against him. [* Apparently there was a letter to parents that hasn't been posted, but whatever the contents of that, it doesn't seem to have made the reasoning any clearer to them, judging by the social media comments.]

Fair enough - sometimes it's more obvious to them as is writing than them as is reading.

I'm intrigued what the data says for Scotland. Last year in Stirling, I had my bike (plus tailfin setup and camping kit) removed from the station cycle park and left against a rail to see if I noticed it. Thankfully I did and quickly made my way to get my train. I reported it online to PS when I got home, it was left for less than a hour and I mentioned that as a solo female traveller the most unnerving bit, was someone clearly watching me. Despite it being logged and a PS email to arrange a call back, the call back never came. They then had the nerve to text me a response questionnaire on how they'd done.

@mdavidford This is the instagram post. All seems very reasonable to me in view of the fire risk the batteries pose and the possibility of scooters and e-bikes being ridden in a dangerous manner when it's crowded at the start and end of the day. Children are still being encouraged to cycle to school but I'm a bit concerned that they are singling out tim for the lunch ban.

@mdavidford I thought you may have detected a hint of sarcasm there! Seriously though the standard of driving is much higher in London than Marrakesh.

That's terrifying!! I'm pretty sure I'd have ridden (or perhaps fallen or jumped) into the concrete ditch on the right; I wouldn't have even tried to stay on the carriageway. ********** Years ago in Laos I was riding into Vang Vieng at about 15mph when a lorry came straight towards me at full pelt (I was on the correct - right - side of the road). I made the instant decision to ride into the water-filled ditch on my right that ran immediately parallel to the road, having no idea of its depth. The water was only about 10 inches deep and I slowed down covered in muck but still upright. I then went back to see why the driver had chosen my side of the road, as he wasn't overtaking. Turns out there wasn't his side of the road - just a massive hole where it had been...

Whenever I see a near miss like this I can't stop myself thinking of all the excuses, sorry, reasons the police might give for not taking action if it happened in this country. List so far : We are not allowed to judge distances so we don't know how close the lorry was. At this point the lorry driver is going to have to inconvenience somebody. Lorry didn't cross the white line so it was the cyclists fault for not being in the cycle lane. Lorry was established. A close pass is not an offence. Am I getting cynical in my old age? Well done to the cyclist for staying alive.

This short sample of bargains tells the cycling community that retail prices are way too expensive. As fot Giant, they seem unable to get rid of their ageing inventory.

"...the delivery lorry in his lane, attempting to overtake another lorry..." "...the lorry does not decelerate or seek to move back to its own lane..." but "... as the driver narrowly avoids him." Come on @Callum Devereux Do better.

Bath cyclist view. Whilst being a very lovely city to live in, it is at times (and places) a car infested hell-scape which is easy just to accept when you live here. I pretty much walk and cycle within the city, and only get the car out if I have to (miserable at times). With narrow roads, lots of on-street parking, no outer ring road (geography; through traffic), a river splitting the city N/S, plenty of good private/state schools and some pretty steep hills, it's a toxic mix of inconsiderate entitled drivers and rat-runs; for years the traffic problem has been in the council's 'too difficult' box. They may not get it 100% right, but the current Lib Dem council are pushing ahead with new pedestrian crossings, shutting rat-runs, implementing 20mph speed limits, scooter/bike hire scheme and installing cycle lanes; it drives the car-lobby wild and their human right to drive wherever, whenever and however is violated (I include people who live around me in this group; "how will we get around?"). The local Greens seem to just side with the noisy NIMBYs, regardless of whether it's 'green', as it probably helps their election prospects. As a cyclist, you need your wits about you and where to go to avoid toxic traffic; I've felt safer cycling in London. I think this new park route links the cycle route(s) from the centre of town up towards Weston and the hospital reasonably well; bit of uphill in the park (noting that a N route is recommended). The 'antis' point out that there are already 2 parallel cycle routes, the river path and the section of the U Bristol Rd that has dedicated cycle lanes (they're still screaming about that one). The river path feeds cyclists towards the 2-tunnels route S and the Bristol Bath cycle path; tbh, it has a lot of pedestrian traffic and is pretty narrow and bumpy (tree roots) between Windsor Bridge and Locksbrook (apparently will be upgraded). The U Bristol Rd lanes incl floating bus stops etc (wouldn't be cheap to remove), but at the W end they just stop and turf you out onto a pretty busy road. Cyclists travelling from Newbridge may just stick to the U Bristol Rd, and enjoy the respite offered by the cycle lane stretch, or could head down to the river path. I dislike the car zealots so much (one resident group has taken their self-funded LTN complaint to the High Court) that anything that sticks one up their proverbial is fine by me. If I can make an effort to get about the city by means other than a car (I even invested in a ebike to use a bike more; kills off the hill problem), then perhaps they could to.
